Wat a great place! The longer we stayed in Cadaques, the more we became convinced that we were staying in one of the best spots. It is in a quiet part of town with a beautiful view (like the picture) and almost a private beach. The beach is perfect for toddlers, you will not loose them out of your sight, since it is very overseeable. Lots of fish to see in the sea and a lot of little crabs and shrimps to watch.
When we could not find the appartment straight away, Fiona's mother walked towards us to fetch us.
The appartment is simple but we had all we could wish for. Just like decribed. The kitchen was simple but adequate for a holiday. There was a water boiler, a micro wave, a toaster and a two pits stove and even two refrigerators. The washing machine was very handy. Detergent was already there. On arrival we learned that there where two staircases (one outside, one inside) that where a bit dangerous for our two year olds. So Fiona's parents helped us and brought two wooden boards to make it more safe for toddlers.
The sheets where nice and clean, and the towels plenty. We even got a nice bottle of wine.
Fiona's parents told us about the nice restaurants in Cadaques (a 10 minutes walk from the house, if lucky, you will see some friendly wild boars on the way) and how to walk to the Salvador Dali house (25 minutes) on a beautiful path along the coastal line. When we walked to the restaurant the first night, Fiona's parents even came by to make sure that we knew how to walk back in the dark.
You can take the car to go to the city centre but could also easily walk.
When we left, the cleaning lady was there right in time to take over the keys.
This was our first Airbnb experience, but if all the others are as nice we wil certainly do this more often!
