Stay in our beautifully finished in-law apartment and relax on a private deck overlooking gardens and orchard. Eight blocks from downtown in the quiet Five Sister's Neighborhood. Walking distance to Church Street, seven amazing breweries, the waterfront, and scores of terrific restaurants.
Take in the view of Lake Champlain before setting out to explore the best of what Burlington and Northern Vermont have to offer.

The space

Our apartment was recently built and was constructed with an eye towards natural light. Surrounded by windows, mid-morning sunlight floods the spacious living area highlighting the natural Vermont maple woodwork. The space is lived in by Charlie's grandparents when they come to town. It has a separate entrance, large bathroom and living area with cathedral ceilings, and large deck, and a large loft bedroom with a queen sized bed. There's a kitchenette complete with refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and hot pot, but no range or sink. There are great views of the magnificent sunsets over the lake from the loft.

Guests have access to WiFi and bicycle storage.

We live a door away and if we're home, are happy to answer questions or give recommendations for what the area has to offer. The space is completely private and it is up to guests how much interaction they want during their stay. You may see us feeding the chickens, working in the garden, or taking out the compost - or perhaps not at all!
The Five Sisters Neighborhood is one of the gems of Burlington. Within Vermont's largest city, you'll still find a true neighborhood where people know their neighbors, kids play games in the quiet streets, and families walk or bike to the park (2 blocks), to get Burlington's best gelato (1 block), or frozen yogurt (12 minute walk) on a regular basis. We have lots of neighbors close by and we request that our guests be respectful, not host guests in our space, and not be too noisy during their stay.
A few blocks down the hill is Burlington's up and coming art district. It's filled with terrific workshops, studios, galleries, fun new cafes and restaurants, great frozen yogurt, a cidery, some of Vermont's best breweries, awesome burritos, and Lake Champlain Chocolates which makes homeade ice cream!
One parking spot in our driveway is available for guests. We are 1.5 miles from the interstate, and a ten minute taxi ride to the airport ($15). There is also a bus stop one block from our house. Burlington's beautiful and well loved lakeside bike path is a short mile away. Depending on the timing, we may have bicycles that can be borrowed.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dan and Amanda's place. They were great about reaching out before our stay and giving us info and being in contact before we arrived. We found their detailed guide to the area and places to eat/drink/visit super valuable. The location was incredibly convenient to everywhere we wanted to go in the Burlington area, and the space was very private and quiet.

Dan and Amanda’s place was wonderful! We loved our stay here. The place was in a great location, was immaculately clean upon arrival, and the thoughtful little touches (like Dan’s homemade soap) made this one of the best places we’ve found through Airbnb.

What an awesome place! Super clean! Very tastefully and simply decorated. The fridge was stocked with juice, seltzer, & cheese. There was home made granola, coffee and teas, and delicious blueberry muffins one morning. So many details were thought of to make our stay comfortable and complete. Lots of natural light, quiet and a really great deck with a nice view. Centrally located to all that Burlington has to offer. We will definitely be back!

We had an awesome long weekend at Dan and Amanda's place! It is just a mile from downtown and close to some great breweries in the other direction too- Zero Gravity was our favorite! Communication was excellent and check in and out was a breeze. They even dropped off some fresh baked blueberry muffins which were a delicious surprise! They also had a great welcome binder with plenty of suggestions. We would absolutely stay here again.

We can't thank Dan, Amanda & Charlie enough for sharing their space with us. The space was the perfect blend of tranquil and convenient! It was very calm and quiet but also provided us the luxury of walking to Downton Burlington. The space is beautiful and the bed was super comfy! Would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking to explore Burlington!

Dan, Amanda & Charlie User ProfileDan, Amanda & Charlie is a superhost.

We love to spend time outdoors - swimming, hiking, growing our own food and enjoying meals with friends. We have been fortunate enough to have seen many places in the world, and have spent a significant amount of time in Peru, and across Central America. Our son Charlie is our main focus these days and we love the time that we get to spend with him.
