The space

Fitzrovia is on of London's most historical, picturesque areas in central London, nestled between Mayfair and Bloomsbury. This studio apartment is seconds from Fitzroy Square, on a street that runs from one side of the Square to the other. This is the only square within Fitzrovia, one of London's few pedestrianised squares with original Georgian architecture – it's in the centre of the city yet still a calm, quiet and peaceful area to stay in.

London is a huge city, and the best way to navigate it is by starting in the city centre! Located just a few minutes walk from Euston station, and one mile from Kings Cross, the overground trains, underground trains, and the Eurostar and buses make the whole of London your easily reachable playground. Most parts of the city are accessible on foot, but with the many nearby underground, train and bus stations, there are probably more transport offerings within a mile of here than anywhere else on the planet!

Here you can stay in a beautiful building from the 1800s, still with many original features that are typical of classic London architecture. This glorious Georgian building is the home to the apartment, that is self contained and takes up one entire floor and offers plenty of space as well as privacy, with it's very own front door and entrance that is not communal or shared with other apartments. With a small, private outside patio space at the front, and large windows throughout, this apartment has the bonus of plenty of space and natural light. The apartment is rented out exclusively; none of the listed facilities are shared with other guests, neighbours or hosts so you can really make yourself at home here throughout your stay in this perfect pied-à-terre.

The property has laminated flooring, full gas central heating, two leather sofas, a double bed, two wardrobes with lots of storage space and a dining table/desk and chairs. There is an open plan kitchen with stainless steel appliances and an integral fridge and freezer. There is a separate full sized bathroom which was recently refurbished, to include floor to ceiling tiles and a new and full size bath and shower.

Whether visiting for business, pleasure or both, this flat is ideal for those who need a base in Central London, and like the convenience of having their own place, without any shared facilities or communal entrances. Nevertheless the flat remains a very secure and safe property which has smoke alarms, external safety cameras and a fire extinguisher, for your peace of mind.

This place is a perfect pied a terre for shopping and theatre trips, with the West End within easy walking distance. The City, Clerkenwell and Canary Wharf are also accessible for those in London on business, with the extremely convenient nearby facilities and transport links.

What's included and what do guests need to bring?

I provide clean bath and hand towels for every guest, and a freshly made bed with brand new duvets, pillows and covers. Also tissues, toilet rolls, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and soap are all in the bathroom, with tea towels, bin bags, hand wash, sponges and washing up liquid included in the kitchen. I also provide tea, coffee and milk and a kettle to help you feel at home upon check in, but guests may wish to stock the fridge and cupboards with their own food and drink (or they may not, with the many fabulous local restaurants on offer!). If you have any specific requirements, then don't hesitate to contact me about them ahead of your booking. London city maps are included (big and small, suitable for planning and exploring!) and plenty of London tips and inspiration are on offer from your host, too.

What type of bed is it?

The brand new double bed is a full size double with a high quality mattress, and a comfortable wooden sprung slatted base. The manufacturer states that the bed exceeds British, European & North American safety standards and is suitable for regular, daily use and is built to meet the high standards of contract environments such as hotels.

What type of apartment is this?

The apartment is for the exclusive use of the guest(s) booking the property, and none of the amenities or facilities are shared with other neighbours, guests or hosts. The flat contains one bedroom, and there is no separate dining room or lounge, however the kitchen is within a separate area and the bathroom is entirely separate.

What type of area is this?

Bang in the centre of the city, with the best of London on your doorstep, and the West End, Oxford Street and Covent Garden within an easy walking distance. The street is almost entirely residential and is not a through road for passing vehicles but rather just for parking, and I have found it to be a comfortable and quiet place to stay.

What about check in and check out times?

15:00 onwards is usually fine to check in, and 11:00 or before to check out. I am flexible though, so do let me know of your ideal check in and out requirements and I will do my very best to accommodate them.

Along with a fabulous location, this studio flat is set within an original Georgian building with it's own private entrance. None of the facilities are shared with the host or with other tenants in the building, so it's a nice secluded spot to stay. Inside the apartment you'll enjoy:

-Full size double bed with a brand new, high quality mattress and bedding
-Bedding, towels and toiletries are provided for guests
-Full size, fully functioning kitchen complete with a gas oven and hob, a microwave, fridge freezer, double sink, kettle, cutlery and crockery and tea and coffee and lots of cupboard space.
-A bathroom with a shower, full size bath and sink, along with a large mirror.
-Two sofas, plenty of shelving, two wardrobes, a coffee table, plus a dining table/desk and chairs
-A large street facing window that lets in plenty of light, even though the flat is set on the lower ground floor
-Very high (9 foot) ceilings for a spacious feel
-Fast, unlimited wifi internet
