Our home allows you to experience Saratoga in a very special way. This historic home boasts the most prestigious address in the capital district. If you are coming for the race meet you should know that the owners of two Kentucky Derby Champions are just up the street. This historic home features 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths and a powder room as well as two original marble fireplace mantles in the formal living and dining rooms, beautiful hardwood floors throughout, marble bathrooms, oriental rugs, period furniture and original oils and important lithographic prints.
This home is a fine example of Greek Revival architecture. Listed on the Historic Register, it was meticulously restored by the current owner who is an award-winning historic preservationist. The house’s elegance lies somewhere between a Charleston, South Carolina manor house and a New York City apartment.
This is a commodious home which is great for entertaining.
Our guests have access to the entire house except for a back storage room at the end of the house.

1. This is our family home and it is filled with the things we love including many antiques and oriental rugs. Please enjoy and respect our belongings:*Please use coasters on all tables.*Indoor furniture stays indoors and outdoor furniture stays outdoors *This is strictly a non-smoking home!!*No pets allowed.*Check in time is 1:00 pm on arrival day.*Departure time is 12:00 pm on departure day.*Should you need to adjust these times at all, please let us know as our cleaning crews work on this schedule. *Children and babies welcome, but this house is NOT childproofed!
*No large parties. We have many neighbors nearby and need to be respectful.
*GENERAL CLEANING REQUIREMENTS:
a.All dirty dishes, cookware and eating utensils should be washed, rinsed, dried, and put away in the proper location. If dishwasher is still running upon your departure that is okay.
b.All household trash, garbage, and/or other discarded items should be properly bagged-up and put in the designated outdoor bins to avoid spillage, leakage, and pests.
c.The refrigerator, freezer, pantry and microwave should be cleaned out.
d.Wet towels are to be placed in bathtubs.
e.Sheets and pillowcases stripped off mattresses and left at the foot of the bed.
f.Outdoor areas(porches/patios/driveway/grilling area) to be cleared of all garbage.
g.Grills to be wiped down and SHUT OFF - valves closed.
2.The person that books the reservation (renter) must be a minimum of 25 years of age.
3.There is a LIMIT of 8 people that may stay at the house. Adherence to this limit is strictly enforced. Overcrowding violates local health codes and fire ordinances, and is considered grounds for immediate eviction from our home with Guests’ forfeiture of any and all monies paid. WE REQUIRE the first and last names and ages of all guests via the Airbnb web site email system PRIOR to accepting the reservation.
4. No mobile sleeping units (ie.: travel trailer, motor home, tents, and/or other RV’s etc..) may be used at our home or on our property for any purposes whatsoever. (travel trailers, motor home, tents, and/or other RV’s etc., are NOT PERMITTED to be parked anywhere on our property at any time and is cause for immediate eviction, with complete forfeiture of any and all rental monies paid.
5. While we, the Property Owners, strive to maintain the property in the finest condition, no guarantees are expressed nor implied regarding suitability or fixability for any particular purpose. We do guarantee that appropriate repairs and/or replacements will be performed as soon as possible under prevailing circumstances. As such, it is the Guests’/Invitees’ responsibility to immediately notify the Property Owners of any and all difficulties that they incur during their stay so that appropriate repairs/replacements can be scheduled and performed. Inconveniences under which we may have no immediate control and which DO NOT warrant any refund of rental monies include, but are not limited to: 1) breakdown of TV’s and household appliances/devices,2) plumbing/water issues 3) power outages, 4) adverse road and/or weather conditions, 5) construction taking place in the area. No guarantees are expressed nor implied as to the fit-ability of utilities and/other services provided to the property and adjacent structures and premises.
6. The following are some (but not all) reasons for a claim to be made by us against your security deposit:
a.Any and ALL Guest/Invitee caused damages incurred to our home, including, but not limited to all adjacent structures and premises, throughout the entire duration of their stay of occupancy. This includes, but is not limited to intentional and/or unintentional removal of our (Property Owners’) personal property, willful and/or accidental damage to structure(s) and premises including, but not expressly limited to any and all fixtures, appliances and furnishings.
b.A $150 replacement fee for any key not returned will be charged so that we may have a locksmith replace the locks.
c.Any undue and/or unreasonable cleaning needed in our home immediately subsequent to the Guest’s/Invitees’ departure will incur an additional Cleaning Charge of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per hour with a one hour service minimum. This applies to the premises exterior, grounds, as well as the premises interior. Additional cleaning fees will be assessed if the General Cleaning Requirements in the House Rules #1a-g above are not followed.
d.Our plumbing system can only handle single ply tissue - PERIOD. Any plumbing issues due to misuse and/or improper disposal of waste or personal products in the system will incur a charge to remedy the situation.
