Beautifully refurbished farmhouse surrounded by 'adventure' gardens, nestled in the hills of West Cork. Spacious kitchen and dining area. Two living rooms with open fireplaces perfect for a cosy night in. Comfortable beds, plenty of bedding and towels + equipment for babies and young children. Toys and games help keep children occupied throughout your stay. Ideal base for excursions along the Wild Atlantic Way.

We had a great time at Pat's house. It was very well equipped, from the kitchen to the playroom. It was very spacious for our numbers and would recommend it to others.

In the heart of the beautiful Irish country side is Pat's amazing home. It's is a beautiful home suited to couples, a group of friends and families. It's filled with everything you need in a beautiful setting. I couldn't recommend a better home to stay in, it's close enough to both Skibbereen and Ballydehob that you can get whatever you need as well as visit the great restaurants and pubs in the local areas. It's also very child (there are toys, games and kiddie wetsuits available) and dog friendly (wide open spaces and walking in and around the area) and we'll definitely will definitely be back but for a much longer stay.

A wonderful place to escape to. An idyllic cottage in green rural Ireland away from beeping phones, email and modern life. We arrived to a lovely warm and charming cottage just 6 km outside Ballydehob. The house is wonderfully remote; a perfect place to unwind, drink wine, read a book, have a bath etc. We will definitely be back, probably sooner rather then later.

This place is wonderful - private, quiet, comfortable and with everything you need. In the evening, with a warm fire going, tea lights around the place, a nice drink and friends, it is absolutely spectacular. Pat is a great host, full of friendly advice, and the bottle of wine he left for us was very much appreciated. This is the Ireland we came to see: atmospheric, friendly and stunningly beautiful.

We live in West London with our 3 children, but spend our holidays in Cork and Mayo near our parents, uncles, aunts, cousins.... We are both self-employed - working in the music and internet industries.

We brought The White House in 2007 having outgrown our 1 bedroom cottage in Mayo. We were looking for a larger house, with an exciting garden for the children. Pat's mothers family come from Skibbereen and we have always loved the atmosphere of west Cork.
West Cork has the most stunning coastline and gorgeous villages, but has not been ravaged by tourists. The music festivals, and pub sessions are exceptional; the scenery breathtaking; the island hopping great fun; and the local people so welcoming.
