My little house is a colorful open space on the canal Martesana, in a pedestrian and silent area. The flat has a living room with kitchen, a bathroom with double shower and washing machine, and a loft-bedroom with king size bed and open wardrobe.
My apartment is set at the first floor within a 1700s building, very picturesque and typical of the architecture of old Milano (they are called "court house"). The house faces the canal Martesana, one of Milano's most beautiful, designed by Leonardo da Vinci and inaugurated by Lodovico il Moro in 1496; a rural landscape very particular and different from the rest of the city. From the window you'll see only trees and the water flowing; some ducks lives in here, and in daytime you can hear only birds and crickets!
On foot or by bike you can get beautiful, romantic walks or go along the canal until you reach the river Adda; not far from my house you can rent bikes provided by the public service (and also, if you prefer, rent a car by the public car sharing).
But the flat is also located just near the stop Turro on the Red Line underground (Line M1), so you can easily and quickly reach the main attractions sites.
My house is fully at your disposal during your stay. It's well equipped for 2 people, but in case (with additional cost for breakfast and final cleaning) the living room can host other people with temporary accommodation.
The kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerator, induction hob (very quick, easy to use and safe!!) and microwave oven; all the suitable equipment is in here and I'll let you all the instructions. I'll provide you with the need for breakfast (bread, jam, butter, flakes, eggs, Italian coffee and different teas, milk, and sometimes - if I have time!! - homemade cake), and you'll have free access to drinkable water and seasonings.
In the bathroom you'll find all the basics - hairdryer included - and I'll provide you clean towels; you can use the washing machine and dry your clothes on the rack.
In the bedroom, a big and confortable bed (170x200cm, organic latex&cotton) will be ready to your rest with clean sheets; you'll use a part of the wardrobe.
No TV, but a high-speed connection is at your free disposal... and also my music collection :-).
There is no air conditioning, as it's not necessary: the thick walls of 1700s keep cool in summertime, and warm in wintertime. The door and window are soundproof and insulated.
Interaction with guests
I don't live here during your stay, so we need to accord before for check in and check out.
At your arrival, I'll be glad to share with you a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, giving you some tips about Milano so to make your stay easier. If I will be in Milano and free from commitments, we could organize a tour if you like the idea. I speak English and French but I need to practice my conversation abilities, so it would be nice for me!!
In any case I will let you a map with the main area attractions and public transport.
Other things to note
For long staying we need to accord about a deposit.
- Daily cleaning is not provided. For short staying the final cleaning is included in the quoted price; for longer staying we need to accord about the cost of periodical cleaning of the flat.
- Please, smoke just outside the flat's door (in the balcony).
- I can not accommodate pets.
- Washing machine is available from a minimum 2 days staying.
I'm a private person and for me nothing is more important than personal freedom while respecting that of others. I like travelling a lot and being in contact with different cultures.
The contact with nature, green and light, are very important to me and this was the reason why I chose to live in this area of Milano: does not even seem to be in Milan, but you are!!
My current hobby is making objects and furnishings in "trencadìs" mosaic; my lifelong passion, without which I could not live (indeed!!), is music of all kinds - depending on my mood.
You are welcome in my little house on the canal!
