This is a view from my ridge after a very easy hike on some of the 150 acres you have access to.At night, a spectacular Luna moth comes to visit on the porch. Nature rules here.

This comfortable and pretty little home was the residence of an Appalachian subsistence farming family. It continues to exude the calm perseverance these folks needed to survive years ago... though it is completely updated to meet today’s standards of comfort and convenience. Here one can enjoy both forests, trails, creeks and a river. Relax and unwind on the old time porch and swing, facing the RR and N Toe River.

Alia's place is a good cabin retreat in a nice area of the mountains. You can fish on the North Toe River directly from here property and it's a peaceful setting. The best part for my family was seeing the tamed deer that lives near the property.

If you don't believe in time travel, you will after you visit Aila's place in Forbes NC. It is beauty and simplicity locked in a distant time. It was my second stay there and we plan to go again.
