Awesome farm and wonderful hosts! Allesandro and Brent took the time to tell us their story and let us experience the amazing cheese they make on their farm

The house sits on a side road of a side road so the only sounds you'll hear are the chickens, cows, and goats. The property is beautiful, with flowers and romantic views galore. The property is a working farm that produces and sells super delicious cheese. My friends and I left with half the store so be sure to taste some samples. Brent-- the owner, was incredibly warm and welcoming and has a super fascinating life story: American dairy farmer goes to Tuscany and ends up running a successful cheese empire. Yes, there is a novel in there somewhere. The listing isn't 100% clear on the the number of beds, so I would strongly recommend checking before booking if you are in a group or a family with children and don't want to be left scratching your head where to put people upon your arrival. Note, there are no couches or pull out sofas. The owners reside in the lower level of the house, but do provide access to the kitchen and living room.

Brent and Alessandro's farm is on the historic registry of buildings, and it is lovingly taken care of and restored. When we visited, a short walk from the home to the farm put us inches away from baby goats, lambs and pigs and we were charmed!

We had an amazing time. The farmhouse is incredibly clean, everything is perfectly in order. My daughter played with the goats and we got to see how the cow was milked. Their cheese is outstanding. I'm very happy to have had the opportunity to meet Brett. Superb!

Everything about our stay surpassed out expectations. The photos don't do justice to the beautiful home -- and even more beautiful land it sits on. From the moment we pulled up, we were made to feel welcome and free to explore. Within five minutes, our kids (5 & 3) were walking alongside friendly goats and chickens and peaking in the cheese-making room. The home is warm and comfortable. You basically have your own wing in the upstairs -- two bedrooms and a small sitting room. We were up with the rooster in the morning and, again, got to watch the goats and sheep head out to pasture. If you're looking for a comfortable upstate farm experience with easy access to places like Hudson, this is a perfect place to visit. We will definitely be going back.
