Ferndahl Cottage is located in the beautiful, subtropical hinterland just behind Coffs' pristine, world-class beaches. This delightful, two bedroom cottage features a gourmet kitchen, laundry, air-conditioning and has timber flooring throughout. With a king size bed in the main bedroom and two king singles in the second bedroom, which can be converted into another king bed. Its the perfect private getaway for two couples or a family of 4.

Head to the beach and Coffs Marina just a short 12km's away, or explore the magnificent adjacent valleys and national parks. You can also relax on the deck overlooking the country garden and rain forest landscape, enjoying abundant native birds and wildlife.

What you can do....

The Coffs Coast is famous for its great weather beautiful, beaches and an array of festivals and events happening all year round.
Coffs Harbour is located on the mid north coast of NSW approx. 6 hours drive from Sydney and 5 hours from Brisbane. You can fly to Coffs Harbour with Qantas, Virgin Blue. Our airport is just 15 minutes out of town. Hire cars are available for collection at the airport.


Shopping
Park Beach Plaza is the largest shopping facility on the NSW North coast and is ONLY 12 MINUTES DRIVE - with 120 specialty shops a food court and free parking.

Attractions
The Big Banana, Australia's original 'Big Thing, is situated on the Pacific Highway just north of Coffs Harbour NSW. Families have been calling in for 40 years for great rides, souvenirs and a fully functioning Candy Shop. Don't leave Coffs without having your photo taken standing in front of the Big Banana.
Ever had the desire to cuddle a sea lion, shake hands with a dolphin or just be overwhelmed by the many talents our close marine relatives? At the Pet Porpoise pool you have the opportunity to swim with the dolphins. Don't forget to book..

If you're a water enthusiast the Solitary Island Marine Reserve has everything; diving, snorkeling, swimming, surfing, beach walking, whale watching, bird watching, fishing and boating are a MUST.

A short drive away is the Dorrigo National Park and World Heritage Rainforests and Skywalk for a great day out. Picnic with the brush turkeys at The Glade, visit the Dorrigo Rainforest Centre and Canopy Cafe or try the waterfall tracks in one of Australia's most accessible World Heritage areas - remember to pack your camera.

If you're feeling adventurous white water rafting is available on the nearby Nymboida River.

Coffs Harbour Botanic Gardens is widely recognised as an outstanding Regional Botanic Garden and tourist attraction offering visitors a unique blend of flora, recreation education and relaxation.

For a great game of golf try Bonville International Golf Course just a 15-minute drive south or Coffs Harbour or Coffs Harbour Golf club right in the heart of Coffs.

Standard Terms and Conditions of Temporary Holiday Accommodation

Note: Variances can be agreed on but only by arrangement with the owner in writing.

To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions.

Number of Guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email. Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance.

Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in loss of your bond and/or additional payments.


YOU'RE OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

•You must comply with all applicable House Rules and all instructions from Management and the caretakers of the Property concerning occupancy, property, health, safety and quiet enjoyment of the Property and our neighbours.

•You are responsible for damage, breakages, theft and loss of the Property and any part of it during your stay. You must notify us of this immediately. Management may recover from you repair or replacement cost (at Management's discretion)

•Only the guests nominated and agreed in the Booking may stay in the Property over night. If any other guests stay extra charges may apply or the agreement may be terminated without refund.

•Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination and eviction without refund and extra charges may be made for security and other expenses.

•Before departure, all food must be removed from fridges, all rubbish put in the appropriate council rubbish bins provided, and crockery and cutlery washed and packed away. The Property must be left in a clean and tidy condition.

•Extra cleaning charges may be incurred for the cleaning of dirty dishes, washing machine, dishwasher, emptying the fridge; removal of excessive rubbish, cleaning of oven and BBQ will incur a cost of $55.00 an hour. Should the cleaning fee be more than the usual cost for cleaning the property, you will be charged the additional costs over and above the normal cleaning fee which will be deducted from the security bond or charged to your credit card.

•All furniture and furnishings must be left in the position they were in when you arrived.

•The property should be vacated on time and secured. All windows and doors are to be locked. All keys must be returned to Management or as otherwise directed.

Departure - the property should be left in the same state to its condition on arrival. Check-out time is 10am by the latest, to allow time to prepare property for next guests.

Bond is payable at the same time as the balance amount. The bond will be refunded within 7 days in full subject to the above conditions being met. It is designed to cover any additional costs incurred including but not limited to, any breakage, damage or excess cleaning requirements, extra guests beyond those declared ..etc.

Linen is supplied.

Pets are not allowed unless specific arrangements have been made in writing with the owner. If the owner has agreeded to allow your pet to stay.. Your pet must be accompanied by yourselfs while you are in the cottage, your pet is not allowed to be left inside at anytime while you go out, pets are restricted from all furniture and beds if these conditions have been broken your agreement may be terminated without refund.

Loss - the owners take no responsibility for the tenant's personal property.

Variations to these conditions may only be made by prior arrangements with the owner in writing.

We recommend all guests purchase travel insurance since Management of 439 Mt Browne Road, Upper Orara is not responsible for any injuries, illness or accidents that may occur whilst staying at our property.

What a fabulous spot! We absolutely loved our stay! The house was very clean and the wood fire was amazing. The grounds around the house were secluded and relaxing. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet, bushland setting for a relaxing holiday. Sammy was a wonderful host and her communication was fantastic.

I grew up in Sawtell and thought I knew the Coffs area, but this cottage nestled in a peaceful bush setting away from the hustle and bustle is a great place to stay/relax and still be close to town and beaches
