Ideal for bird-watchers and nature lovers.

The space

Whether you are a loving couple, a family or a group of friends this is your place!
La Gola is an spacious, refurbished single room fishing hut (see picture) that houses a full equipped kitchen, a bathroom as well as the living room. At night it transforms into a bedroom for up to 4 people with one double and two single pull out couches.
La Goleta - used only when groups are more than 4 people - is another single room adjacent building that can also sleep up to 4 additional people with a double and two single pull out couches. It also has a bathroom and a shower.

The outside area between the two houses is designed to enjoy outdoor activities. A canopy provides with shade and allows to set the table and have meals surrounded by nature and wild life.
The outdoor shower is very convenient after a day at the nearby semi-deserted beach, which is just 7 minutes walking distance from the houses.

We have a pretty nice time in the little Jose's houses. It is cosy and near the amazîng beaches of the delta. We didn't see Jose but he made all the arrangements for us and everything ran smoothly. An unusual place to stay !

Me and my wife spent 4 nights at La Gola y La Goleta. La Gola is the old fisher house where there is a kitchen and La Goleta is the house where we slept. Staying at la Gola is really enjoying nature, with birds right in front of the house in the water and a very special environment combining rice fields with moors and natural beaches. We really enjoyed our stay though it was pretty hot in July and there is no airconditioning at the sleeping room. We rented bicycles to be able to travel around a little bit and since I forgot my binoculars (which is quite stupid if you go and stay in a place full of birds) Mr. José borrowed us his. The house is what it is, it is basic and authentic, quiet and you really feel like living in nature and an agricultural environment. Of course there are noises from the water station next to the house, and there are mosquitoes at night (only two hours after sunset, not during the day), but the house is perfect if you want to enjoy a very special and unknown part of Spain, at coast but without massive tourism.

My partner and I spent 4 nights at La Gola this early May. The location is very scenic and calm, ideal for a relaxing holiday away from the city. We didn't meet Jose M but a very friendly man, Tono, welcomed us and explained everything about the house. The house is a traditional house in the Delta de l'Ebre and it has its charm which we enjoyed but it is very basic. The beach is only a few hundred meters from the house, but make sure they explain to you how to get there or else you'll end up going the long way like we did until we learned about it! We were quite unlucky that the engine controlling the river water level started working on our 3rd day and did not stop; it was very noisy and during the night it was like having a washing machine on all night next to you. Not sure if this happens often or we were just unlucky... Many thanks for the accommodation! Laia & Daniel

Response from José Mª:
Laia, I appreciate very much all your remarks about our house. We strive to offer the best experiencie to our guests and there is always room for improvement. In respect to the water station, it happened that the rice season was started those days and the irrigation network needed to get full. Thanks again! Jm
