The Isle of Bute is a hidden gem. The town of Rothesay is the perfect place to base yourself to explore it and this house is the Cinderella of Air BnBs in Rothesay being not to far away, not too close, but just right. Excellently and most comfortably furnished and impeccably clean. The house had everything we could want, from comfortable beds, wifi for the teenagers, a super DVD selection and a most wonderful well equipped modern kitchen. A real find. Thank you for sharing this fabulous place.

A fabulous home-from home-from for our stay on Bute. Spacious, peaceful, warm and welcoming with garden/patio front and back to enjoy the outdoors between our various outings. Playing fields leading to countryside just over the road giving lovely views from the house as well as a place for the kids to let off steam. Convenient for town centre and shops though we hired a car from Car Bute (also highly recommended!) so that we could get to every corner of the island during our short stay. We came from York on the train/ferry via Glasgow and it was super-easy. Very sad to leave and hope to be back one day.

Spacious house with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The views from the house are lovely. Short walk to the centre of Rothesay. Great base for seeing the Isle of Bute whilst being within walking distance of restaurants.

Rothesay is a charming but fairly quiet town on an island of outstanding beauty. It is a coastal town, easily accessible from the mainland, and there are quality beaches dotted around the Isle of Bute. The house is close to, but not in the town centre, and is well equipped and comfortable with wonderful country views. Parking is excellent. If Scotland had the same weather as Southern Europe, it would be a top destination.

Excellent well equipped house in a beautiful location ideal for exploring the Isle of Bute. A nice 1m walk to Loch Fad and ideal for exploring the island. The house had everything we needed for our stay including a selection of games which kept my 5 year old grandson entertained. Although we didn't get to meet Heather, all correspondence was courteous and very helpful. Would highly recommend this property.

Hi I'm Heather. I'm a busy mum to two teenage boys, and step mum to two in their early twenties and have just recently become a gran! We have bought our flat close to our home for the future needs of family members but in the meantime we are renting it out. I have also been renting out our holiday home on the Isle of Bute since 2011 and have really enjoyed the experience of connecting with new people from all over the world. When I'm not doing changeovers I love to walk and cycle and can advise on lots of routes around Glasgow and the surrounding area.
