Interaction with guests
We are very easy going and enjoy helping with any requests including advice on places to visit and eat in the local area. We can also help with lifts to Thirsk station and to other venues near by.
Other things to note
Baldersby is a small quiet village of about 250 habitants. There is a farm shop, cricket field and small children's play area. Unfortunately there is no Public House in the village, but plenty can be found in near by villages and towns.
Baldersby has excellent access to the A1. People who come and stay can get to Leeds, Bradford and to Newcastle and Middlesbrough in less than hour.
The village is in the Vale of York and is equal distance from the Dales and North Yorks Moors National Parks. Wensleydale is within easy reach. Ripon with Fountains Abbey, the breweries at Masham and Middleham
Castle. In the other direction is Thirsk, an attractive market town made famous by the writings of the vet James Herriot, Sutton Bank and the White Horse at Kilburn and beyond that the picturesque town of Helmsley and the Moors.
The historic city of York can be accessed easily by road or rail and the Spa town of Harrogate is near by.
Information of the wide variety of local attractions is available in the room.
No pets please and no smoking in the property.
