The Cozy Cabana is a cute and cozy studio, located in a quiet neighborhood and only minutes walk to the famous Split. The interior is basic, though comfortable. If you want a touch of the real Belizean lifestyle, this is the place to be.
IMPORTANT: this cabana has A/C but it's not included in the listing price. For 10 USD per night you can choose to use the A/C, payable upon arrival.

The space
The cabana hosts a maximum of 2 people and is a perfect hangout for snorkeling-, fishing-, sailing- or diving trips or just relax under a shady almond tree in the yard. Inside is a small living area with kitchen (stove/oven, fridge, all necessary utensils), half separate bedroom with a queen bed and a spacious shower/bathroom. The cabana does not have hot water, but in a tropical climate you'll be happy to take a refreshing shower. Outside is a comfortable veranda with hammock.

Wireless Internet is free and there's a small library and some board- & card games. If you like dogs, you're at the right spot, because we have 3. At day time you'll find them in the yard and they love it when you pet them. They're not allowed inside the rental, but if you don't mind, they hang out on the veranda.
Close to the house -about 50 yards from the property- is our dock, which is a perfect spot for a morning coffee, sunbathing or a dip in the water. This dock also gives you a front row seat for the most beautiful sunsets.

The cabana itself is located in the backyard of the very unique and authentic (outdoor) restaurant 'Wish Willy Bar & Grill', run by my husband. The restaurant is not more than a couple of tables and chairs in the yard and you have to walk through it to reach your cabana. From the veranda you look out over the restaurant. It's open every night for dinner, some days also breakfast and/or lunch is being served.

Guest access
As a guest you have access to all the hammocks in the yard, the restaurant and our dock. We also rent kayaks, paddle boards and a canoe for reasonable prices.

Other things to note
Especially in summertime the cabana can get hot during the day, but will cool down once the sun is set. Two big fans (and A/C on request for 10 usd a night extra) will help to cool the space down and there are several spots on and nearby the property where you can catch a cool breeze or a shady spot under a tree.
There are special weekly and monthly rates and in the slow season (September-October) prices are lower. If you fill in the dates, the right price will show up automatically.
If you go to my profile you can see my other rentals: Cozy Casa (a 2 bedroom house on the same property), Sunny Cabana (a very private cabana in a tropical yard, located at the other side of the village) and Spoonbill House.

Location

Caye Caulker, Belize

The cabana is just a moments walk to 'The Split', where the island is split in two and which is the most popular spot for swimming, snorkeling or have a drink at the famous bar 'the Lazy Lizard'. The main street -Front Street- is right around the corner. Here you'll find several restaurants, supermarkets, souvenir shops and food- and fruit stands. The many local people you meet are always in for a chat. The part of the island where the cabana is located is only 100 yards wide so the sea & beach are always nearby.
