Great location, nice apartment close to the market and main square. Apartment is spacious and air conditioned with a huge balcony overlooking the surrounding area. Cati who let us in spoke no english so it was difficult to get any local advice. A welcome booklet with lots of local information would be helpful.

It was a great spot! It was a little climb to the 4th story, and we didn't know what Algeciras was like but it was close to Gibraltar and Tarifa which were very cool. Josef was nice, and the apartment was very nice as well.

We had a great time in Josef's place. It's very near the port and the bus station. The apartment itself is well appointed and cosy - unusually, it was much nicer than we had expected from the pictures.

Josef's apartment is a great base for exploring this part of Andalusia and Gibraltar. The apartment is close to the ferry port, an easy 15 minute walk. For example, we took the free FRS bus from the ferry port to Tarifa to catch a ferry to Tangier to spend the day. The apartment is literally steps from the the veggie/food/stuff market in Plaza Ntra. Sra. de la Palma, which runs every day except Sunday. We stocked up on fruits and nuts from the market. The apartment is also 5 minutes (walking) from Plaza Alta, which is a must see for its ceramic benches, balustrades, and scenic church. Also, there is a good choice of restaurants near and around Plaza Alta. Finally, if you are headed to Gibraltar for the day, it's a short / 25 euros taxi ride to the Gibraltar border, which we did while staying in Algeciras. The apartment is well represented by the photos. As there were just three of us (a couple and a single), the apartment was more than enough space. The kitchen was great for preparing simple breakfasts and preparing tea after a long day of exploring, though it was fully outfitted for much more. Josef was easy to work with finding and checking into the apartment. He was helpful in guiding us to where we could get internet as there was none in the apartment. (Hint: all cafes around Plaza Alta have WIFI, so for the price of a coffee, you can sit and plug in.)

Everything was fine! The host is quite flexible and easy to contact for the arrival. The flat is very well equipped, clean and amazingly big. We really liked staying here!
