My best friend and I, along with our 4 energetic children, had a wonderful week in the Funky Devon farmhouse. The cottage was a great size for us, the kitchen had plenty of amenities, the garden was full of activities that kept the children out until nearly dark. And then in to supper around the big table, a warm bath, and into bed. The location is ideal, it's 25-30 minutes from Totnes, from the eastern beaches like Blackpool Sands (where we had a lovely sunny day), and from the southern beaches like Salcombe. Perfect location for us. The Chilli farm just up the lane is also great for a bite and a play (and a sample or two!) We had a great time. Thanks Ant!!

We had the best time at Wigford Farm, fantastic house, gardens and location. Children loved the zip wire, trampoline and games room. House was situated close to a lot of great beaches. Anthony was a fantastic host, we'd all love to come again!

Funky Farmhouse was the description and Funky Farmhouse it was. Our party had a wonderful time, and Wigford Farm was ideally located for exploring the South Hams district, as well as big enough to accommodate our extended group when the weather turned. The Farmhouse had everything we needed, including some fantastic maps for walks in the area which we certainly took advantage of. Our host, Anthony, was flexible with our changing arrangements as the arrival day neared, and didn't complain about the American side of our group crashing in from the airport at 1:30 in the morning. The excellent recycling arrangements satisfied the environmentalists amongst us, and the WiFi kept the kids happy all the time - parents were very pleased. All-in-all it was an excellent break; we'd definitely recommend Anthony's Funky Farmhouse and we'd be back like a shot. We also recommend the riverside walk from Topsham Bridge to Silverbridge along the Avon; the old double arch railway bridges that regularly cross the river along this stretch are beautifully constructed. Head back past the Chilli Farm at the bottom of Wigford Lane for a taste-bud blowing experience and an interesting intro to their huge range of chilli plants. We also had an excellent meal at The Ship Inn in Ugborough. Further afield, the coast from Slapton around Start Point to Prawle Point has some great cliff top tracks and will also please the history-types with plenty of shipwrecks and a fishing village at Hallsands that fell into the sea .

Hi Peter, I''m so glad you guys had a great time. It sounds as though you found the time to take advantage of lots of things the area has to offer. If you come back for another visit you'll find even more to enjoy in the South Hams! Ant

Hi, my name is Ant. I live in the beautiful South Hams in Devon, England.
I live with my daughter. Wigford Farm is in the stunning Avon Valley, in an area of outstanding beauty. My house is now too small for me, so I rent most of it out to holiday-makers. I also have a rustic chalet in the garden.
