Step back in time: my home is a top-floor Victorian flat (built in 1896) with one double bedroom, a dining room, a study, newly renovated kitchen and bathroom, wooden floors and lots of charm! Stepney is a great base for exploring East London; only 5 mins walk to the tube or 20 mins to the river.
This is my home, and I love it! I only let it out when I am away on tour so you'll find it perfectly equipped with everything you need, and perfectly located to explore East London. The apartment is on the top (3rd) floor of an old Victorian courtyard - step back in time to pre-war London -and has one bedroom, a little dining/living room, a fabulous new kitchen, a study and a bathroom. You will have the whole flat to yourself.
Guests will find tea and coffee and a loaf of locally made bread; a great assortment of books on London are ready for you to use, and there's a huge map of London on the kitchen wall to plan your days. You also have free wifi access.
Interaction with guests
I am not always in the country during a guest's stay but either I or a friend are on-hand to help with any questions you may have.
Other things to note
The flat is on the third floor and there is no lift.
No pets please; no smoking. Otherwise, please just treat my home with love - I hope you enjoy it!
I'm a classical singer and, since I travel a lot with work, when I am away I'm glad to share my lovely little flat with others! After ten years living in West London I moved East, and I love my new home. The area is full of history, diversity, real people with interesting stories, and with so much to do nearby.
I welcome guests who are reliable and respectful of my home. It's a pleasure to give someone a place to relax and to help them get to know this brilliant bit of London.
