Love, love, love! This home is a beautiful pearl of an apartment! So well decorated, perfect size, cozy and safe! Defenitly want to come back some day! Maartje was quick to respond and helpful. Me and my friend needed a place fast (well under 24 hours). She gave lot's of information, and guided us through the stay. We felt welcomed and safe! The neigborhood was peaceful and nice, within minutes of walking you are in the lovely westerpark. There are shops, cafè's and bars nearby. Good vibes from host, apartment and neighborhood! And I have to mention: the most lovely lady checked us in! Accommodating, heartwarming and helpful! Greatful for this experience

Such a nice place to be in Amsterdam. Instead of planning we wondered about which worked really well - nearby is a range of quirky shops and cafés. The apartment is very cute and is just the right size for a relaxed getaway. Looking to book our next trip already!

Wow, we had such an excellent time at Maartje's place! Very central located and beautiful decorated. With the tram within minutes in the centre, but also the surrounding streets have good bars and restaurants. Supermarket in walking distance! We made reservations only half a day before arriving and Maartje was very quick with responding and very helpfull. Definitely coming back next time we'll be in Amsterdam!

Maartje is very nice, and tried to answer on our questions. Her house is tidy and big enough. But there was a problem that annoyed at night, as there are many mosquito at night, so we need to spend time to kill the mosquito before sleep. And the toilet is proportionally small compare to the room, we need to clean the floor from time to time to avoid making the toilet wet after shower, and there is only one small mirror in the toilet, without electronic supply in the toilet, so I couldn't dry my hair in a place with mirror. Furthermore, there is no rubbish bin in the house, so we need to use our own plastic bag to store the rubbish. The most important thing is the raining shoes decoration and the coat behind the door is a bit scary at night, while the house could only have few small lamps to light up the house. Overall, we expect a better stay in her house but it turn out we think we were over expected the house should be.

Response from Maartje:
Hi Christa, what a shame the apartment was not what you expected! I hear your comments; however there is a mosquito net hanging above the bed, a full length mirror on the inside of the wardrobe robe with a nearby socket & the bin is outside on the balcony as I don't like a bin to be inside. What that mainly says is that I need to communicate those things better, so consider me educated for the future! ;) I am sorry the decoration scared you, feel free to move it next time!

Maartje has an excellent taste, her place is cozy, well equipped, well decorated, modern, comfortable, it is located in a great area close to parks, very clean hood, beautiful atmosphere, quiet, and close to the city center. She was super nice and flexible with our late check out and the most important thing, we felt home and made it home for our stay. We would definitely go back if we need a place in Amsterdam againg. Thanks so much for everything :) Joan & Alicia

My five year old son and I call this teeny tiny studio apartment home - it's not big but has everything we need. And, it saves cleaning time so we have more time to explore the world ;)

However, most of the time Amsterdam is the city where I enjoy everyday life and try to soak up every ray of sun there is - even when there is rain [most of the time].
It's a wonderful city, with loads to see and do and have tonnes of fun. But seriously, bring your raincoat ;)
