Interaction with guests
I enjoy sharing tips about Helsinki with visitors, and will try to be available for your questions by e-mail, phone or in person to my best ability. Mostly, I will be out of town when the apartment is available.
Other things to note
In May-July, I can usually only book guests to stay for three nights or more.
Please note that the apartment is not completely furnished and stylized like a home yet, because the tenant has moved out and the apartment will be redecorated soon. Also note that in the summer, the sun rises very early in the morning, so remember to bring a sleep mask if you're a light sleeper. The room doesn't have a darkening curtain.
The neighbourhood is quite lively, which sometimes is reflected in happenings e.g. in the park outside, so there can be noise in the evening. There is a fire station nearby and the tram stop is right outside the building, so although the building itself is quiet, there is some noise from the street.
There is no balcony, even though one of the guest feedbacks states so :) The windows are quite nice, though!
Please treat the apartment like the home of your friend, and respect the neighbours and the quiet hours of the residential building (10 pm to 7 am). No smoking and no pets allowed.
Please follow the Finnish custom of not wearing your shoes in the apartment. For your own safety, please don't use electric appliances (with a cord) in the bathroom.
Welcome to Helsinki and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions!
I love travelling (especially by train!), good food, laughing, and improvisation. I enjoy showing people around Helsinki, or if I'm away, sharing tips on my favourite spots to see and experience.
