Daniel and his chalet are both a delight! The place wouldn't be the same without Daniel's friendliness and willingness to please. We so enjoyed sitting on the top porch and having a glass of wine as the sun set. This is a perfect place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city but then conveniently located to the city. We certainly enjoyed the bakery Daniel recommended --in fact, we went twice! Lovely people, lovely island, lovely place. Thanks, Daniel. ps. the little coffee service in the morning was perfect!

The cottage is charming and comfortable. The location is delightful - surrounded by quaint villages with amazing views of the St. Lawrence River and beautiful countryside. Easy access to Old Quebec City is a huge plus- just 15 minutes! Daniel is a charming host and very helpful providing information about the area. For meals he suggested we might enjoy Buffet Maison - just a few kilometers away. They offer delicious prepared meals that simply need reheating along with side dishes, desserts, cheese and wines. PERFECT for a relaxing stay at the cottage! I highly recommend this accommodation.

We highly recommend staying here! The house is charming and beautifully made, filled with sunlight and fresh air with windows all around. The views of the St. Lawrence and the mountains across the river are lovely, and we had gorgeous sunsets every night and peaceful mornings reading on the porch. Daniel is a friendly, helpful, and gracious host and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay!

This rustic, charming cottage is located on beautiful L'Ile d'Orleans overlooking the Laurentians and the St. Lawrence River - a spectacular view! Careful thought has gone into its design, with many details which provide enjoyment and comfort. It is well-kept, clean and has all modern amenities, including a dishwasher, microwave oven, washer and dryer, and barbeque. The upstairs bedroom, large ensuite with shower and claw-footed modern (but in the old style) bath tub, and private balcony were such a delightful surprise. The cottage is located back from the road so that all one hears in the morning is the cheerful tweeting of birds. It is located close to St. Famille and within St. Pierre parishes on the Island. Having a car in which to get around would be necessary, unless one wishes to cycle to places on the Island. Daniel is a charming, friendly host who made every effort to make our stay enjoyable. We would highly recommend this beautiful cottage to others!
