A perfectly restored old building in a small village with gorgeous interior and all you need for very comfortable holidays. We enjoyed it a lot. Phantastic view over the valley and some mountains in the surrounding from both terraces. Very friendly and uncomplicated communication with Louisa and her family. Unfortunately the mainroad nearby disturbs the silence of the nature arround a little bit.

Louisa's mother met us by the church as arranged with Louisa and directed us to a carkpark close to the house, then showed us to and around Louisa's lovely apartment, (even though Louisa's mother does not speak english this was not a problem). The apartment is in a lovely old stone building which has been cleverly renovated to a very modern standard. However this is not your standard apartment renovation, it has been thoughtfully and tastefully worked with some neat features and interior design. There 2 good sized double bedrooms, 2 seperate bathrooms / on suite, with modern shower / tapware, overall it is very well fitted out, with a trendy interior and very a modern and tasteful finish, it has all the facilities needed for a short ot long term stay. The kitchen is very well designed and has every modern appliance and set up for full on cooking! Also Louisa provided plenty of basic supplies plus water in the fridge and some bread on arrival. There are 2 balconies with seats, cushions and a table, one has a beautiful outlook over the valley and hills and ideal to soak up the views and the sun! You do need to know that the stairs to the 2nd floor bedroom are very steep and may not suit someone with limited flexibility, given we had quite large suitcases we used the smaller downstairs bedroom as a dressing room and left our suitcases. Also you cannot drive or park close to the apartment although it is only a couple of minutes walk to the apartment door. The village itself is a typical old Corsican village, with steep narrow lanes and streets, it is very quiet with very few cars. Facilites in the village are few, with a bar, pizzeria, the bakery / cafe is about 10 minutes walk from the apartment. If you want a full supermarket Ponte Leccia is about a 10 minute drive down the motorway. Given the narrow streets and tight parking we left our car ion the park and walked around. There are some other villages in the area which are worth exploring especially nearby Lama which has some medieval buildings. We highly reccomend Louisa's apartment if you are looking for somewhere special, relaxing and quiet to stay! We would absolutley book Louisa's apartment again if we were coming to Corsica!

We had a great time in Pietralba. The town is right in the middle of beach and mountain. The town itself is quiet. There is a bakery at the beginning of the town and a tabac and a pizzeria. HOUSE: the view from the terrace is breathtaking. Great for the day and evening. The house is fully equiped and clean. You have a bedroom and bathroom upstairs next to the terrace (also a view from the shower on the valley!!!) and one bed- and bathroom downstairs. We stayed here with our two year old and had a great time. Parking is available close the house. HOST: We were met by Marion (Louisa Niece) at the church and she guided us through the narrowstreets and made us feel very welcome. She was always available via SMS if we had any questions. Louisa we did not meet but the communication was smooth and helpfull. Thank you Louisa and Marion! We would highly recommand staying here.

Une vue magnifique depuis un logement extraordinaire. Un rêve....... Seule difficulté: le parcage de la voiture
Louisa User Profile
Response from Louisa:
Cher Olivier, merci pour votre appréciation. Concernant le parcage de la voiture sur mon parking privé, il n'est pas si difficile, mais effectivement, les routes d'un village de montagne ne seront jamais aussi larges que les autoroutes suisses. A bientôt
