The rear of the Edwardian homestead is available and very private. The Pinot Suite has direct access to the car park and an ensuite. It offers one queen size bed with basic kitchen facilities (small microwave, fridge, jug, toaster) together with a television and access to free wifi, a reverse cycle air conditioner & a new television.
Two rooms are available and would be very suitable for a family of 5 or 2 couples interested in a farm stay type short stay. The property consists of 100 acres; 15 acres of vines and the remainder is grazed by sheep. A majestic lake used for irrigation exists along the creek and koalas often roam through the manna gums.
The cellar door has been placed in the end of one of the original farm sheds and was part of the Winery. It is open most days & offers home made cakes, Mocopan Bruno Rossi espresso coffee, Teas sourced by a local business: "Simply Tea". Local produce including Penshurst honey, Mt Baimbridge lavender, Bagdad dressings & dukkah, Lana's rhubarb spreads, Portland strawberry jam and a range of local wines. Pierrepoint Cellar Door has a north easterly aspect capturing the sunshine and overlooking the numerous breeds of poultry wandering amongst the vines.
To the south of the homestead, Mt Napier appears on the horizon beyond the Muddy Creek valley and productive farming land.
The Tarrington area is a picturesque, undulating landscape. The township named as Hochkirch by its German founders in 1853, changed its name to Tarrington in 1916 due to world events at the time. It has maintained a strong and proud German heritage. The town boasts one of the best cafes/restaurants in the district Café Catalpa, is family owned and operated and is only 4km from “Pierrepoint”.
Besides their room, guests are welcome to wander around the garden, farm and vineyard (after sterilising the soles of their shoes!) including the cellar door.
Interaction with guests
On an as needs basis. For an additional, negotiable fee a chauffeur service to local restaurants including the Dunkeld Royal Mail Hotel is available. Clothes washing facilities are also available to purchase.

The Southern Grampians region is a well kept secret full of delightful experiences!
We expect our guests to act quietly and with respect to our property and our animals. Gates on the property should be left as they are found, that is either open or closed!! Pets allowed if controlled; $20 will be charged if additional cleaning is required after animals have soiled inside. Smoking is prohibited. Parties allowed after discussion with owners and to be held in the cellar door. All drinks supplied by Owners. Smoking is prohibited.
We are a family of 4 with a dog, 2 cats, horses & sheep. Both my husband, Andrew & I work from home.
