This is a great and comfortable room! The location of the flat is amazing, located right in the city center and within easy walking distance of great food, shops, colleges, and other sites. The only issue with the location was that in the night time, I could hear music from nearby clubs so that's something to take into account if you're a light sleeper. Andreas was extremely helpful and responsive. I had a great stay!!

Excellent location! Only 4 minute walk from the nearest Oxford Tube bus stop and also a 4 minute walk to my conference venue. Close to restaurants, shops and groceries. Good communication from host and easy check-in. Good sized room.

Andrea's place has the best location you could ask for - right near the Town Hall and covered market. The flat itself is basic and was lacking in a few basic things - milk to make coffee, toothpaste in bathroom etc. which I would normally expect to find in an airbnb. As Andreas was away, his friend was supposed to be managing the flat but didn't seem to know much essential information - for example, what time the Golden Cross closes at night. This place is perfect if you literally need to just sleep and be in the center and the check-in and check-out is very simple.

The place is extremely central, and although the building is very old, the flat is decently modern (at least by UK standards). Because of the age of the building, floors slope somewhat in one room and a lot in the other one. The washing machine, internet etc. worked perfectly. The bathroom is relatively modern and spacious. In spite of the extremely central location, there is no noise problem, even on weekday nights, because the nice little square/courtyard that the flat faces is locked off by a gate for the public at night. I did not meet Andreas, since he was abroad during my entire stay, but he replied in a very friendly and efficient way to all questions. Overall, extremely central place, decently modern standard, very nice host.

Great location, right in the middle of the city! Takes about 5 minutes to walk anywhere in the city center and 5 minutes to bus stops that will take you anywhere else. Flat is quaint and cozy (lots of books around!!), well illuminated and Andreas was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns when he was not there. There's a washing/drying machine for laundry (very convenient) and a spacious kitchen.

I'm new here!! : )

I'm a student of economic and social history currently living in Oxford. My academic focus is the rise of the modern megachurch, but my fields of interest are wide and varied: jazz, anthropology, rowing, Greek tragedy, board games and - of course - travelling.

My biggest adventure so far was a 100-day road trip across the U.S. leading up to the 2012 election. Together with a photographer pal, I tried to document the American political circus in a German-language blog. 15,000+ miles on the road through 35 states - I do miss it!

I'm also an avid tour guide of Oxford. The city is chock-full of history and I'm always eager to share all the neat stories and little secrets about the place that I've accumulated over the years. It means a lot to me to be able to add to visitors' experience here.

I'm looking forward to hosting you in Oxford and to making new friends around the globe!
