Located in the south western part of the Diocletian's Palace, the building is more than 300 years old. The hotel as it is today is open for business in the beginning of the 20th century. In the past, hotel Slavija was a nobleman’s house, then an inn, than it assimilated the two adjacent houses and has become a hotel. Hotel Slavija still has original walls in the rooms and the original facade. It is built above the ancient private roman baths of the emperor.

The space
Recently renovated, all hotel rooms feature carpeted floors throughout the floor, effectively supporting the intent of minimalist design to maximize authentic antique artifacts.
So with the combination of clear and clean lines furniture and Starck design inspired chairs, we come to the details orphan amphora from the basement of the building as the centrepiece decor of individual rooms, remnants load-bearing beams and arcade-shaped and clay-shaped clay niches.
The room position compared to the existing thermal spa in the basement can be seen on the head-boards in each room, which connects each room to the whole historical story.
All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, telephone, cable TV, private bathroom with shower or bath and hairdryer and free toiletries.
