My name is Pedro, I am from Mexico City where I studied Political Science & Public Administration. Recognizing that a good command of the English language will further my working chances I left for England as soon as I graduated. My beautiful wife, Paloma, hails from Málaga, Andalucía, in Southern Spain. Like me, she went to England to learn English and fate brought us together there. We lived, studied (Hotel & Business Administration) and worked in London for four years in the hotel and restaurant business. Years later we worked in the United States for 2 years before moving to Mexico where I run Hotels on the beach resorts destinations of Puerto Vallarta, Zihuatanejo, Cozumel and Cancún throughout the next 25 years whilst Paloma run her own Wedding Planner business for over 20 years. Three years ago we decided it was time to move into a line of work a little less demanding but equally rewarding, hence we moved to Mérida, Capital City of the Yucatán State where we bought and fully refurbished and redecorated beautiful Casa Chaya in the Itzimná quarter of the city, one of oldest, safest and more tradicional neighborhoods of Mérida. Our experience in the hospitality business -along with the many travels we've had the opportunity to do in most countries of Europe, North and South America and the Caribbean- makes us believe we know that little details can make a huge difference when choosing a place to stay away from home. We are, therefore, ready to provide those little details when you visit us in Mérida in your next travel.
Paloma and I love classical music, enjoy a glass of wine, reading a good book on a confy lounge chair and are both eager travelers who like to keep journals of such travels.
