Michelle was kind enough to allow my cat and I stay at her unit while my apartment underwent some repairs. She was available and very willing to help as needed. The unit is a pretty good size as far as quasi-studios go. Kitchen and bathroom were good. I did expect a tv considering the pictures but I should have paid closer attention to the posting which didn't list it as an amenity. Last thing I want to add is that if you want somewhere that you can go back to and relax this likely isn't the place for you. I understand that in these old rowhomes the floors and ceilings aren't insulated but it's truly incredible how loud the family upstairs is. I do not believe they're being excessively noisy and certainly not on purpose (kids tend to be loud and stompy, let's be honest) but I could hear everything - each step and movement was amplified. That being said, if you're coming to D.C. to visit I really hope you're not doing it so you can just sit around in your Airbnb. Perhaps I'm biased because I live here but there is just too much to see and do to spend it sitting around. Thanks again!

Michelle is a very thoughtful host. I was in the apartment for six weeks, working on a medium-term project, and I never had to be concerned with any problems with the apartment. It has great Metro access and walking access to the National Mall, House Office Buildings, Library of Congress, Capitol and Supreme Court. There's also a gym around the corner, that I was able to join with a short-term membership. The only possible drawback would be for people who enjoy sleeping in very late, as the family upstairs has regular and predictable early hours. If you are a heavy sleeper or use some noise-cancelling device, you should be totally fine. There's a Trader Joe's opening close by in early October, and Rose's Luxury is only about 10-15 minute walk away, so no need to wait in long lines to get in. Great host, great neighborhood. I was happy with my stay!

There were some issues with the apartment, such as with the wifi and hot water, but Michelle was very gracious and quick to respond to any issues. The location is very convenient for anyone visiting for business and spending time on the Hill!

Great location and great neighborhood. Located near the Capital and Library of Congress. You can walk to anything in DC. Restaurants and bars are just a few minutes away. The neighborhood is very quiet. The neighbors above the apartment are a little loud during the day but by the time we returned at night, it was quiet.
