A cosy and clean appartment very close to the beach in a quiet neighborhood!

The space

A bright, cosy and family firendly appartment very close to the beach, in the beautiful island of Crete.
The place is located in the first floor in a quite neighborhood, ideal for people who wants to avoid the city buzz,
opening to a balcony with seaside, in which you can enjoy the sunset.
Just a 2 minutes walk from the beach and the nearest seafood-tavern. A mini market is located next to the appartment.
The old town of Malia, where several restaurants and shops can be found, as well as the famous-crowded main road
of Malia with cafe and bars are both accesible within 15 min walking.

It is equiped with towels, safe box, bathroom with shower and a kitchenenette with cooking hobs and fridge.

Interaction with guests

I do not leave in Crete at the moment. You will meet Nikos and Rena, my parents who are the owners. They live at the same building, so feel free to knock their door if you have any questions. They are very friendly and hospitable.

I rented a flat here for my parents for 2 weeks, me personally i had a chance to rent not far in a much better place, but i was visiting my parents every day to help them here and was implicated in all subjects. Several points concerning the house to take into account as we were too listening to previous guest's reviews and trusted them: 1. Location You are in a village, it is quite around, but you are far from the city center, shops, restaurants and other infrastructure We saw in review that it s smth like 800 meters and you are in Malia center, this is false completely. You are at 30-40 minutes to walk there. The supermarket which is near you provides a very few things. So either you are by car - and that's ok, you will reach the center in 5 minutes, either you are very far. My conclusion: if you are there for 1-2 days that's ok. If you stay 2 weeks (our case) - you need to go to the city. Without a car you are handicap. By the way - if you have a car - no parking area. 2. House Acceptable state, that is clean enough, you have generally all like in a simple hotel without stars, you have some minimum in a kitchen, douche is very weak etc. I think that corresponds to a general level of a non expensive hotel. Once again - that's enough for couple of days but not for a long stay, if you want to cook smth and not to go 3 times per day in taverns you have no equipment and no vessels for it. Air condition is absent: our neighbours (from room N14) were with an open door regularly to ensure an air circulation in their room. I don't found comfortable to live with an opened door. Conclusion: if the time is fresh outside - you are ok too. If it is hot - that will be the same in your room. You depend on the weather. So you will open doors or invent other things. The problem is also a strange discotheque near the house with a loud music at night. So if you close windows you cut any air circulation - you can not stay like this for a long time. So we were obliged to keep listening for a discotheque several times during our stay (not every day hopefully). 3. Area and infrastructure You have some taverns in 5-15 minutes of walk, but the number is limited and they are not a top. My opinion is that the one named "Eva" is a best one on local level. As you can not find what you need for a daily life in markets around you are forced to go there sometimes or often. But if you stay for 2 weeks you exhaust this list quickly and you are repeating the same things everyday. Once again - for a short stay and...

This apartment has made our journey simply perfect! Everything was clean and in the right way. The hosts were extremely kind and willingness, very sunny and confortable people :) help us in every way. On our way to our return in Italy, the father take us to the Bus Station for the Airport with the car, so corteous! The position of the house is confortable, 5/10 minutes from the "main way" of Malia and also from the beach. There are also a lot of "rent car" stores close to the apartment in that zone and some restaurants. Summing I have to say that this house contributed to make our holiday in Crete very joyful!

Stella's apartment was in a quiet part of the neighbourhood and was quite good for the price. The apartment was clean and pleasantly decorated. It had basic essentials for a short stay. If you want a quiet, more secluded experience of Crete/Malia then this is the place to go. The only downside to the apartment is the internet, as it can be difficult to connect to. There is also no aircon and our fan stopped working while we were there so that's the only issue. The owners were lovely and we had an nice stay!

Clean and tidy flat, lovely people and very close to the beach but still quiet. I would recommend staying out of season as it looks like Malia can be a busy place but in October it was just right with good beach weather but fewer tourists.

We did have an extremely nice, long WE in Crete at the appartment of Stella´s family! Her parents are very helpfull and friendly. The appartment is perfectly situated outside the centre, near the port. Thank you, Stella!

Great place if you want to relax, very clean very calm, very big also with a great big shower and bathroom, great view (mountains on one side, the sea on the other). The city is a bit far by foot, but that gives you an opportunity to rent a quad and have fun on the road! (it's cheap and everybody does it :) ) Stella's parents are very nice and helpful (they drove us to the bus station, and gave us fruits when we arrived :) ) We spent our time on the balcony which is very nice (when we weren't at the beach, 2 min away)
