The space
Conveniently located in the heart of Raumati, comfortable, homely and welcoming . There is new wool carpet and double glazing throughout. Plus a wood burner for cosy warmth on those cooler days or nights.
Fnd solitude and privacy, indoors or out. This space is a haven and I invite you to experience the same pleasure as I, in the modest space. Whilst this home is most ideal for a maximum of four guests, there is an extra fold out small bed for a fifth guest if requested. I will do everything I can to make your stay a good one. A bread maker is available by arrangement.
Take the opportunity to relax in the small cottage style garden. Bathe outdoors or in, as the weather allows. Nothing beats a moonlit bath on a clear starry night, an easy cosy night indoors with your favourite person, book or pet, or a short stroll to local dining options and the beach. I am available for guidance on local activities and information if needed. All you need do is ask.

Guest access
Guests have private access to the entire home and garden.
You are welcome to request an early check in or late check out , just ask and I will do my best to accomodate this.
This is my home when not booked by guests.
I sometimes stay in a separate accomodation on the property.

Other things to note
A third bed is available on request if needed for a fifth guest.
It is a fold out bed with a comfortable mattress and bedding .
Send a message if this is required and I can ensure it is set up and ready.
Please let me know if you have a pet coming with you , if they are friendly with strangers (like me ) and also what the breed is .
There is a cleaning fee of $45 per pet.
Information on recommended pet day care and overnight stays is available.

Stroll to a selective range of cafes ,restaurants , boutique shopping , massage /therapy salons, hairdressing salons , dairies, yoga studios, bowling green , or to the beach. Nearby are the Marine gardens , cycle hire, plus a beach side dining/bar with beautiful views over Kapiti island. Many other activities are available in the area for active or sedentary guests. Further information is provided in the folder on arrival .
Situated on one of the many Kapiti cycleways/walkways, with easy proximity to the Wharemaku stream track . A five minute walk is all that is required to reach the Raumati Beach and Waterfront Bar.
Close proximity (ten minute drive to the track start ) to the infamous Paekakariki Escarpment track with one of the best oceanic views in New Zealand . A mere five minutes drive to access the Queen Elizabeth park entrance , or catch the bus and train , or arrange transport with me. Nga Manu bird reserve is a twenty minute drive away .

My work: I have worked between Wellington and Otaki over the past forty years in the health sector and continue to work part time Monday to Sunday .
I have lived in Raumati for over thirty years and raised my family here . My interests lie in the outdoors , walking in the area or on the beautiful beach with a different view of Kapiti every day . I am in and out with work and activity , so am not always home. I enjoy gardening , cycling , yoga , time with family and friends . Also reading , crafts and being outside on the warmer days , cosy inside with the fire on colder winter days .
