Our cozy, vintage studio log cabin is conveniently located just steps to Big Bear Village, while also being close to the lake, beautiful hiking trails and the slopes. The rustic interior is complemented by a newly renovated bathroom and gas heater.

The space

Our rustic little cabin is quite unique. The log wall section was built in the late 1800s as one of the bedroom cabins of the historic Pineknot Lodge. The log walls, wood stove and many vintage elements produce a cozy, old time mountain ambiance.

Guest access

Our deck has a comfortable patio set that is accessible in all seasons. We particularly love enjoying our coffee in the warmth of the morning sun.

Interaction with guests

The cabin is all yours during your visit. However, we encourage our guests to contact us with any questions, needs, or concerns via text, phone or email. In addition we have a wonderful friend who lives in the neighborhood who takes care of the cabin, and responds promptly to our guests’ needs.

Other things to note

The two beds in this cabin are incredibly comfortable memory foam futons. Please request whether you want one or two beds made up for your trip. We have found that the combination of the quiet and memory foam makes for a great night's sleep.

Adorable rustic, cabin located within walking distance of the Village which made it easy to walk to and from dinner and The Cave for concerts. Very comfy cabin.

We stayed here two years ago and couldn't wait to come back. The cabin is so cute. Don't expect frills. Just comfort. It is super close (one block) to the main big bear village area so the location quite simply couldn't be better. Maureen is incredibly helpful and communicative from the moment of booking. We didn't need any help while we were there but if we had needed it Maureen would have messaged back incredibly quickly I'm sure. She sends details instructions before your stay (which is helpful, as the address for the cabin isn't exactly where it should be!) This is a wonderful place to stay. Warm, comfortable, and has everything you need for a fun weekend. Thanks Maureen!

We had an excellent time at Maureen’s. The cabin was clean and cozy. Perfect for 2 people looking to get away for a weekend. The futon bed can be a little rough on your back if you have a bad back, but aside from that this cabin is perfect.

We spent the weekend at the cabin and we really loved it. Super close to the village and trails. Everything was really cute and cozy. Clean and had every thing we needed. Would definitely come back. The neighbor was also very nice and welcoming.

Location location location. We walked everywhere. Such a BLAST. The cabin is NOT big, it's cozy for two (my husband and I are small people and were very comfortable) I think if you were a very tall or large person you might feel a little crampt but it's not a deal breaker. I loved the authenticity of the place, log cabin in the woods, totally charming. You feel removed from the world but at the same time a quick little walk to everything. I have no doubt we will stay again.

I highly recommend staying at Maureen’s cabin! The location really couldn't be better! The cabin is in walking distance to the village so we didn’t need a car. The cabin is very quaint, beautiful and comfortable. We loved the historical vibe! Typically after staying at an Airbnb I look forward to going home to sleep in my own bed. Not this time. The mattress was one of the most comfortable ones I’ve slept on. Check-in and check-out were super simple and Maureen was available if anything was needed. You won’t regret staying here. It was so peaceful, we didn’t want to leave.
