It's a very nice place for a stay outside of the big city. There is a wooden sauna - you can jump into snow straingh from it. Woods and lake are a good chance for sport - ski running, walking, fishing etc. There is a shop in a walking distance (half an hour). Santa claus is hot too far - together with snowmobiles and huskies. House is fully equipped, with all you would need. Thanks!

We stayed here for 5 days over Christmas. It was absolutely the best vacation we have ever had. Päivi was an amazing host and was always available if we had questions. We arrived by cab then used the bus system to get around and she was a great help in making sure we knew what time the buses were stopping. My children loved playing in the snow and sledding during our stay and we had an amazing view of the Northern Lights from the lake. I would recommend to everyone to stay here.

I was born and raised in Vikajärvi, a village 28 km north from Rovaniemi! In my opinion, the best ways to enjoy Finland at its fullest is to go berry or mushroom picking, skiing on a frozen lake, ice swimming or fishing on a sunny day both in summer and winter time. I hope to hear from you soon!
