Colorful one bedroom apartment, a classic Craftsman-style house in a quiet neighborhood 2 blocks from urban amenities of Capitol Hill. Spacious living room, kitchen and dining room and secluded back garden. Off-street parking is usually available.
This space is ideal for 1-2 people, but there is also a sofa bed, so a family could stay here. There is a very comfortable queen size bed in the bedroom, which also has a desk and stereo, and private bathroom attached, with claw foot tub/shower. There is a laundry room with (free) washer/dryer in the basement. The kitchen has a gas stove and is stocked with many ingredients for cooking, including coffee, tea, some breakfast items, olive oil, vinegar, spices, etc.
There will be a key in a lock box on the railing on the front porch. I will send the code to you. The space includes the living room, dining room, and kitchen, as well as the bedroom and bathroom. There is laundry in the basement. There is a driveway for one vehicle that you can sometimes use, just let me know if you need parking. It's easy to park on the street here, too.
Interaction with guests
I will be gone, but the house is a triplex, so there are upstairs and basement tenants who you may encounter outside or while doing laundry. Please do make sure you don't lock the door to the basement if you use it to access laundry!
Other things to note
The apartment is private and not shared at all with others. It used to have a shared kitchen with a basement tenant, but no longer.
No smoking in the house. Quiet after 10 p.m. Please clean any dishes, etc. that you use in the kitchen. Please follow recycling/compost rules. Please use washer/dryer only during the day and early evening. Thank you!

I am a yoga teacher, dancer and musician, who enjoys traveling and the outdoorsy and cultural amenities of Seattle. I've traveled to India, Africa, Cuba, Latin America and Europe. My last great trip was to Denmark.
My home has a warm, friendly feel. It is the first floor of a house, which is mostly all to yourself, but with a shared kitchen (rarely used). I have a sweet cat named Zoe, who I usually can take with me for short trips, but sometimes is here with guests. If you are booking, let me know your preference. The house has a separate duplex unit upstairs, and the tenants are quiet, friendly and mostly unnoticeable.
