Your newly remodeled motel room is crisp and clean inspired by the tranquil colors of our beach. It is 1 of 14 units in our beachfront motel which was built in 1959 and has been in our family since 1960. Our guests return year after year and enjoy the sun, swimming in the gulf, and visiting with one another at sunset on the beach. Our managers, Earl and Bill, will greet you and show you around and are available during your stay to help with anything you might need.

The space
Enjoy your stay at Island House, our beachfront motel. Your remodeled motel room has a queen bed, large flat screen HD TV, a/c and ceiling fan, reading lights by your bed, a medium size refrigerator, small freezer, microwave, and is equipped with plates, bowls and cutlery. There are grills on the beach you may use to cook out and watch the sunset as you enjoy an al fresco meal. Your room is one of 4 motel rooms that are in our beachfront building, however, they do not face the beach. A simple walk down the stairs and around the corner finds your toes in the sand and you enjoying the beautiful unspoiled beaches of Casey Key.

Enjoy walking on Casey Key's tranquil and unspoiled beaches and hunting for shells and shark's teeth. Casey Key is an 8 mile long barrier island, mainly residential with a few small boutique / Mom and Pop motels. There are two concession grills on the beach open for breakfast & lunch and two waterfront restaurants over the bridge, all within walking distance. Bike rentals are available to be delivered from a local company and kayak and paddleboard and boat rentals are nearby. Our area has lots of great restaurants, shopping, museum and outdoor activities.

My husband and I have lived in Nokomis (Sarasota County) for over 30 years and feel blessed to not only call it home, but to share Island House on Casey Key with guests. Originally from the Midwest, I came to Florida in the winters with my parents who oversaw our family's 14 unit beachfront apartment motel, Island House, which is now my role. I fell in love with the beach, and with our Island House guests (most return year after year). We look forward to sharing a touch of Old Florida beach living with you. Life is Good!
