My friend and I were very happy with our time at the Fox Den! It was easy to access lots of hiking, and was a comfortable place to come and rest, make meals, and enjoy the mountains. We happened to arrive after dark and had a little difficulty with finding it, and were limited …

Response from Ron:
Wanda and friend were great guests. Always happy to hear they had a good time and found the hiking. Very detailed directions are provided to all guests down to 1/10th of a mile so even in the dark, one can find their way to the cozy cottage with sign out front. There are not many turns involved. Directions provided also mention that GPS and cell service diminish as one gets out in the mountains, which is why the written directions are provided.

The fox den is an amazing place stay. The deck overlooks a Rocky Mountain stream, and you can hear the stream from the deck which is very nice. One thing everyone should know, if you are coming from Asheville do not take state road 197 from interstate 26. Instead take interstate …

Alexander and friends were great guests. Always happy to hear they had a good time and found the hiking. Very detailed directions are provided to all guests down to 1/10th of a mile so one can find their way to the cozy cottage with sign out front. The directions specifically mention not to take the 197 route your GPS might suggest. It's actually the same amount of time, but the 5 miles of gravel road in the national forest and the switchbacks are a surprise, which is why the written directions are provided.

The hiking was incredible. The set-up was perfect. And the stars were divine. I’m only shocked that more people haven’t stayed here. It’s secluded and close enough to Asheville to make a trip for brunch. Book this lovely cottage right now.

We had a great time at Ron's cabin. It's in a wonderful remote area with beautiful scenery. Our family had a great time and Ron was a joy to communicate with. We would definitely stay again.

Traveling all over the world, one sees a lot of interesting places and meets many wonderful people. I've brought these experiences to my home now in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Having stayed in fancy shmancy hotels, as well as hostels, and friend's guest rooms, I …
