House Rules

The cabin is situated on a 1 Acre parcel that is shared by the main house. There is plenty of space in between and room for parking. My priority is to provide peace and tranquility to all and for this reason, please, no large gatherings. The cabin is comfortable for TWO but it is not prepared for large gatherings, and NO partying.
Being in the forest we ask that you do not light candles or burn incense.
No pets. I love them but I respect the rights of some of my renters who have allergies.

On Check Out:
Please leave the linens/towels in the basket by the door.
Place garbage in bin outside by the house.
Try to remember to turn the lights and heating off.

Enjoy your stay at the cabin!

Our stay at the cabin was very pleasant, the location is great for exploring Stanislaus forest and/or Yosemite! It is very close to Twain Harte where you have everything you need (great supermarket, restaurants, etc.). The place was very clean and Paul was very responsive. I would definitely stay here again.

Pictures were very accurate. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few meals. The surrounding Twain Harte area was nice, but we spent most of our time in Yosemite valley. This added a lot of driving, but was well worth it because it was so peaceful at the cabin after a long day of hiking. Wifi wasn't functional when we were there, but it was nice to disconnect. One thing Paul could add is a couch or comfy chair and a working bbq or patio chairs. He provided very detailed instructions for check in, making the trip smooth. Thanks for the great stay!

This cabin was just gorgeous!! The whole place was immaculately clean. Paul was great at preparing info before our trip which was very helpful. Our trip was in August (the cabin was very hot!) And was about a two hour drive to Yosemite National Park. Unfortunately the WiFi was not working during our stay, which meant we had a real authentic cabin weekend away from distractions! Thanks Paul!

This place is very cute and well equipt, but if you are looking to be in Twain Harte's heart, this is not your spot.

The place is cute and very clean. Paul is very communicative, and easy to reach if you have an issue. We had issues with the grill (pictures show a grill - even though it is not listed in the amenities section). We made the mistake of assuming that we could use the grill that was sitting on the deck, but when we arrived to the property it was not usable. Luckily, Twain Harte is a really cute place and has really great places to eat breakfast or dinner - The Sportsman for breakfast and The Prospector for dinner (The Prospector literally had the best pizza i've ever had in my life). Cabin is about 2 hours from Yosemite, not super close but definitely worth a day-visit (GET UP EARLY). 20 minutes from the cabin is Pinecrest lake (rent a boat!) and Sonora (super cute place to check out). The kitchen is nice, the water pressure in the shower is fantastic, and the bed is really comfy.

Welcome to my cabin! My name is Paul and I am originally from the Bay Area of San Francisco, California. As a kid I used to go to camp every summer near Twain Harte. I grew up loving the peace and tranquility this area has to offer. I feel fortunate to have a "place in nature" close to the Bay Area yet away from all the city "rush".
I travel a lot and know what its like to rent a place away from home. I worked hard on this cabin and use it for myself whenever i can get up to the mountains. I'm always thinking of how to make the stay a pleasant one for the the renter.
Since running is one of my favorite past times I can tell you about all the great trails and places to run not far from the cabin. I also enjoy great food and downtown Sonora has lots of places to choose. Sonora also has a farmers market on the weekend and nearby Columbia has my favorite candy kitchen. I love lakes and rivers and tranquil hiking and all that you can find nearby.
I take a lot of pride in renting my cabin to people who appreciate it as much as I do.
