Beautiful barn loft close to Burlington, the Green Mountains and Lake Champlain. Cathedral ceilings, plenty of natural light, rustic charm and lovely views. The space has its own entrance and is completely separate and private from the main house.

The space

Our barn is separate and very private from the main house and features a living space with table, couch and sitting area, a private bathroom and a bedroom with a queen size bed. We have an inflatable single bed available as well. The space is open and spacious with 3/4 wall separating the bedroom from the rest of the living space. There is no kitchen. There is a Keurig machine for coffee and an electric hot water kettle for tea. Tea, coffee and fixings are provided along with basic tableware for drinks and causal eating in the space. There is also an Apple TV, small fridge, microwave and wifi.

Interaction with guests

We have lived in our home for twenty years. We are happy to share information about local restaurants and attractions.
We work and have two children living at home. We may not always be home to greet or say goodbye to guests, but we both are very quick to respond to emails and texts and leave clear instructions on how to access the space if we are not going to be home.
Other residents of our home are two cats, a friendly dog and chickens who all live harmoniously and often roam freely in the yard.

Barry and Jenny's place made for an absolutely perfect stay in Vermont. It was beyond charming, extremely clean and you can't beat waking up to fresh air and the sounds of chickens nearby. Vermont living at its best. Jenni's homemade granola with maple yogurt and local honey were an added bonus. Can't say enough good things about this place!

Barry and Jenny have a unique barn loft that's nice for 2. They are friendly and excellent hosts. The loft is connected to their home but has separate door for airbnb guests. Checking in was a breeze, even if they hadn't been there the electronic lock is simpler than fumbling with a lock box and keys. Everything worked as it should and basic items were provided. Mini fridge is only about 13" tall but will hold most items for a one night stay along your trip. Wish I had more time to check out the yard and garden. Positive experience overall!

This place is very much as advertised, a very high bar has been set by Barry & Jenny. Convenient to downtown Burlington and all the great dining experiences, and I actually believe there is not a bad place to be in VT, this loft space a very simple, clean, and nicely done. Airbnb should use this as a baseline of how things are done. Great place, enjoyable host, oh make sure you try Jenny's granola and homemade maple flavored yogurt.

Incredible space! The barn is better than pictured--a relaxing getaway that is quintessential Vermont. We were able to enjoy a fire in the fire pit and fish in the pond. A gem!

Barry & Jenny User ProfileBarry & Jenny is a superhost.

My wife Jenny and I have lived in our Hinesburg home for eighteen years. Five years ago, we built a new barn that features an open and warm living space upstairs filled with natural light. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
