We had a fabulous short stay at Christine's place. Christine and her husband made us feel very welcome and showed us around to tell all about the apartment and its whereabouts. Our children were absolutely thrilled with the surroundings and the house. We were passing through and planned on leaving early the next morning but decided to take our time to enjoy our stay a bit longer. We hope to come again next year.

We -a Dutch family of two adults and four children under 10 years old- enjoyed a wonderful week with Christine at the Walkenberg. The farm house is beautifully situated on a quiet hill with a lovely view. We felt truly at home in the spacious and clean apartment. Christine is a wonderful, welcoming host. We could use several areas around the house and in the large barn that do not strictly form part of the apartment area, including chairs, tables, sun screens and the outdoor fire place. During our stay, she surprised us with a delicious cake and fresh eggs from the hens that walk around the farm house. In summary, we had a wonderful, relaxing, peaceful family week at the Walkenberg.

I definitely recommend this place for people to stay at. Christine was a very nice and kind host who welcomed us with a big smile on her face. She prepared a sumptuous breakfast for us and was genuinely interested in making us feeling welcomed and comfortable while living at her place. The place is also nicely decorated and has a very cosy environment. Perfect for small groups or couples to stay. We definitely enjoyed this experience and would return to stay again if given the opportunity once more! The only regret we had was that we didn't spend enough time there.

We had an amazing experience at Christine's farmhouse in a tiny village of Walkenberg in South Germany. The house is warm and inviting, and extremely spacious. The setting could not be lovelier - perched on top of a hill, you will enjoy vistas of rolling hills, sheep grazing the pasture, a coop occupied by friendly chickens and ducks, and a kind old dog named Smiley. Make sure to look up at the sky at night - I saw more stars here than anywhere else in Europe thus far. But the REAL star of this house is our hostess- Christine. She is the consummate host - she warmly welcomed my wife, 15-month old son, and me to her home, providing us with tea and the most delicious apple cake in the evening, and even made us our breakfast the next morning. She even let our son visit the chicken coop to pick up freshly hatched eggs for our breakfast! Our son had a blast running around the lovely garden, petting her dog, and eating the delicious food. I am sure she will not be available to serve all of the guests, but I hope you are so lucky to experience some of her warmth and hospitality. Five very enthusiastic stars.

Die Unterkunft war noch schöner und besser, als sie angegeben war. Es gab frisches Trinkwasser aus der Quelle und die Wohnung war sehr schön und großzügig.
