I am a concert pianist and my husband is a documentary filmmaker, we have lived all over the world but have made London our base for decades and this house our home for the past eight years.
Access to a south-facing roof terrace overlooking the city, just outside your room. For longer stays (over one month), laundry and kitchen facilities can be made available at the host's discretion.
Interaction with guests
As hosts we are are happy to provide practical information and tips on enjoying London. Interaction is flexible, we can as easily have a spontaneous chat, a glass of wine, or leave you be as we all get on with things.
We hope our guests will feel at home! We simply ask that you treat the space kindly, as if it were your own. You can come and go as you please, but when arriving late at night or leaving particularly early in the morning it would be appreciated if you could be as quiet as possible going up and down stairs. Smoking is possible on the roof terrace which can be used at leisure. We hope you have a great stay, and if anything is not up to standard, is damaged or not working do let us know as soon as possible so we can take care of it.
I am a classical pianist, born and raised in the U.S. of Bolivian-Dutch parents, and have also lived in Paris, Amsterdam, and La Paz (Bolivia). My husband John is from California but has lived in the U.K. for about 25 years. We have hosted friends and strangers (many of whom became friends!) regularly over the years and are very comfortable sharing our home. When we happen to be traveling, our friend Emma Taylor will be liaising with you directly.
