Other things to note
Wheems is owned and run by Mike, a landscape architect. whose outlook on life, the universe and camping is to keep things small, share in the beauty of the place and pass on the philosophy of eco-living. For those seeking creature comforts, Mike has constructed two solid wooden bothies, which are insulated with sheeps’ fleece and have double-glazed doors that open onto a small deck that overlooks the bay – perfect for those travelling light or needing more comfort.'
Dogs on leads please - Wheems is a farm with chickens ducks and sheep.

I live between Edinburgh and Orkney most of the time and I feel very lucky to live in Scotland.
Wheems Organic Farm Campsite and Eco Cabins is a small family run business. I was brought up at Wheems and it is the most beautiful location I know.
I love to travel and meet new people and we all enjoy having guests at Wheems, to know they are appreciating the view of the sea and the surroundings and it's great when people enjoy the organic food we grow on the farm so much. My Dad Michael and my brother Daniel are based at Wheems organic farm and are very helpful.
My family and I at Wheems Organic Farm are concerned about environmental sustainability, the whole place is powered by renewable energy - wind, solar and ground source and we provide good recycling facilities.
The sunny room in Edinburgh is my house where I live with my boyfriend Duncan, we rent rooms out sometimes when one or both of us are out of the country. When we are out of the country, I am still contactable on an international sim which is cheap to call. Duncan is very laid back and very good natured to live with.
