Forways cottage is tucked behind the main house on a semi rural plot. It has one bedroom with a double bed and a sofa bed that has the option to be a queen or 2 singles.

The Cottage style is comfortable, unfussy, welcoming and relaxed. With gorgeous views of the garden and Remutaka ranges, it's the perfect spot to stop and smell the roses - or enjoy a glass of wine.

It has a small kitchenette with fridge, oven, stove top, and sink. Plus bathroom with shower, mini tub, loo and basin.

The space
Forways Cottage is a rural setting, we have a dog and chickens. When booking *please note*, Forways Cottage is a rural location, dependant on tank water and has slower internet speeds than in town.

Things to do in Featherston

Brac & Bow does some really delicious food, has a decent selection of vegetarian meals, and is really nice without being too fancy.

Loco Coffee & Books have nice comfy couches, a selection of pies and some baked goods like scones. Havana Coffee available to drink there or on the go. Loads of old books on book shelves around cafe.

And yes, I might be biased as I live in Featherston but C'est Cheese has a great range of products from well... Cheese, to pate, crackers, sauces and the list goes on. There are usually samples to try, and it now has a cafe and coffee bar.

Travelling a bit further

Greytown
Boutique shopping at it's best. The picturesque town of Greytown is a great place to stop and shop. My favourites include, Shoc Chocolates, Miss Maude, and everywhere else on Main Street.

Martinborough
Surrounded by vineyards, how can you go wrong? Cycle around to sample at the cellar doors, pop into Cafe Medici for some fuel and then chill with a drink outside the Martinborough Hotel.

Carterton
Don't forget the award winning Clareville Bakery as you shoot along SH2 - I can recommend the Opera cake or anything else on the menu!

I'm Beverley. A nomadic soul, I am not sure I enjoy anything as much as travelling. I was born in Malawi, at aged 4 moved to Northern Ireland, and then to England aged 12. Lucky enough to travel through parts of Europe and India growing up, 10 years ago I moved to New Zealand. I love my adoptive home, and I now have a partner (who is a bit newer to travelling) to share my adventures with, and the rest of the world awaits!! I love art and colour, food, chickens, exploring city markets and forests. He loves geeking and films, coffee, dogs, escaping it all and beaches. We love introducing each other to sights, sounds, tastes and places we haven't experienced. Look forward to meeting you all on our travels. :)
