This is not someone's private home, this is a very impersonal space (at least the room I stayed in at the top floor, the ground floor where there is a living room and kitchen was a whole lot nicer). It is, however, very good value, as it provides what you need, is in a good location, in particular if you are in brussels to work, and is easy to check in to.
My main complaint is that the downstairs of my studio apartment smelled like sewage. Luckily, the bedroom was in an attic, and the smell did not travel upstairs, so it was not actually very problematic. The stairway is also very very small and must be horrendous to get up for a larger person with more luggage - this in particular refers to the stairway inside the apartment, which I did actually feel a bit on edge getting up and down. Probably a better place to stay for a small person (like myself).
The host was very responsive, and I had no trouble checking in. It would, however, have been nice to see a person at some point during my stay.
The downstairs has a living room and a kitchen for communal use, which is a plus.
Good transport links, close to a metro/train station with links to the airport.
If you are on a (very tight) budget holiday or in brussels for work, thus not staying at your accommodation all that much, I would recommend this place. if you want something with some soul and to see at least one person during your stay, this is probably not your jam...
