Stu and Dora were absolutely amazing hosts. They are incredibly friendly and helpful, and they made for such a great experience. I stayed with them for a few weeks while I was interning in Westchester, and I'm so glad I booked their listing. The room was very clean and spacious when I moved in, and they were happy to loan me a vacuum or whatever else I needed in order to keep the room clean. The kitchen was also always clean, which made me very comfortable making dinner in there every night. Their dog is in the running for the best behaved dog I've ever seen. He is super friendly and just wants to be loved, and will love you right back. The driveway is also nice and big, and the neighborhood felt very safe, so I felt perfectly comfortable having my car with me the entire stay. The house is very close to the Metro North station, as well, so the city is not far away at all, which is great for anyone who wants to explore it on the weekends. Overall, I'd say my experience at Stu and Dora's was one I wish I could have every summer.

There isn't a bad thing I could say about my stay at Stuart and Dora's. I spent three months at their place and enjoyed every minute! They were very welcoming from check-in to check-out. They showed me around the area and made me very comfortable with my surroundings. The area is close to public transportation (MTA) and restaraunts. Their daughter Katie is the sweetest girl you could ever want to live with. Her bubbly personality was definitely the highlight of some of my days. Overall, I would recommend this listing to anyone needing a long term stay somewhere.

Stuart and Dora have a wonderful house in a quiet neighborhood. It's about a 2 minute drive to the metro north which gets you right in to NYC in 30 -50 mins depending on what train you take. During my stay, they were kind enough to pick me up and drop me off at the train station which saved me the stress of having to park my car. I do have a couple minor complaints. The window AC unit does not work very well. It cools the room down a bit, but not much at all. In addition, taking the metro north is expensive and trains don't run past 1 am which can be a pain if you want to go out in NYC. Overall, Stuart and Dora's house is a great place to stay. If you are looking for a place to stay away from the bustle of the city, this is the perfect place for you.

Stuart & Dora are wonderful hosts. I stayed with Stuart & Dora for almost five months and always felt at home. They are very friendly yet respect your space & privacy. I never had a complaint during my time in their home. The room is large enough for two people to fit comfortably with plenty of closet & storage space. A personal bathroom and mini fridge are also included. The place is a quick drive/20 minute walk to the local train station. There is also a bus that picks you up right in front of the house for a five minute trip to the train. I had to commute into Manhattan many days during my time at Stuart & Dora's and I was pleasantly surprised how convenient and quick the journey was. Surprisingly, the commute into Manhattan is actually shorter than from many places in Brooklyn and Queens. If you'd like to be a part of the New York City energy, yet stay in a more relaxed and quaint environment, I would definitely recommend staying here. If you are looking to explore the area there are plenty of restaurants, shopping, and the house is a five minute drive to the city of White Plains. I would definitely recommend staying with Stuart & Dora and thank them for their hospitality!

Stuart and Dora are very helpful. They introduced me thier neighborhood. It was very beautiful surrounded br greens. And especially for asian visitors, the place is very convenient. There are a nice Japnese restaurant, a Chinese restaurant and a huge asian supermarket "Hmart" in 5miles. I staied there as my business trip. I got the bee-line bus from Central park ave & Hartsdale ave to white plains. The bus will come every 20mins. I really enjoyed talking with host families and the neighborhood.

If you're going to work or intern in White Plains or Westchester County, we're exactly what you are looking for. We have a great guest room and we cater to long-stay guests (2 to 3 months).

We live in an amazing area. Very safe, very quiet, country-like but also close and convenient to White Plains, markets, restaurants, and shopping.

We're close to public transportation. You can walk to bus stops or the local MTA train station. For train users, there's also a local commuter bus that will actually pick you up in front of our house and take you to station! You can be in White Plains in a few mins, or central Manhattan in only 35 mins.
