Jack, we are truly sorry to learn we disappointed you. Had we known you were unhappy, we would have been quick to remedy the situation, as you mentioned, we are quick to respond. This review is our first notion that anything was amiss. Please accept our apologies!
We would like to note that some of your statement is incorrect, specifically the shower and AC comments, but based on your experience, we have made adjustments to our Welcome Guide to clarify information for future guests. The house does have central AC to all rooms. The unit was replaced in May, is monitored via an app, and was serviced again in late July to ensure it was cooling properly in the Texas heat. Your comment is the first from any guest about a room being hot. When we saw this review, we had the AC guy back out to check it again, but he found nothing wrong, although the thermostat had been reset to the factory default settings which may have been your issue. A quick call to us and we could have had you comfortable and cool.
The pool filler is an auto-filler that comes on when it senses the water level getting low. If it was flooding the yard, that means it was malfunctioning. Thank you for turning it off, but any mechanical failures would have been something to report to us so that we could address/be aware of the issue.
We are truly sorry about the shower soap and recycle bin. The bin had been damaged and has been replaced. The soap is our oversite, we could have replaced it or let you know where the extra supply is kept. We were trying to get you into the house before regular check-in as some of your party arrived early, unpacked, and began working at the bar even though we agreed it was only going to be a luggage drop-off due to a guest checking-out right before you.
