My girlfriend and I stayed at Takasan's place for 5 days and could not be more satisfied with our stay. They exceeded our expections and welcomed us into their home. They are very kind and thoughtful and went out of their way to pick us up from the train station at night. They even took us out to try different Japanese food several times. We had lots of fun playings games and having drinks with them. We are really grateful to have stayed with such great hosts. The location is a 10-15 min walk from the train station and there are lots of food options along the way! We cannot say enough good things about this place especially the their toilet, it is amazing. Thanks for being such good friends and hosting us!! Please come visit Canada!! :)
It was the best decision to book our stay with Eiji San and Yuko San. The couple was very welcoming the moment we walked into their door. I have communicated with them prior to our arrival to get some information about Japan and they answered all my questions. The place was very guest friendly. There were snacks in the room and a bottle of water which was a really nice gesture. The room was decorated nicely and the japanese style bed was comfortable and soft and the pillows as well. Our favorite part of the house was the toilet. It was extremely comfortable to use their toilet and it was kept clean all the time. They also allowed us to use the washer which was really helpful as it was raining when we checked in and we wet ourselves on the way to the house. They made us dinner when we checked in which we really appreciated after the long flight. The place were close to supermarkets and 7/11 and family marts. The closest grocery store in the area was the seins market which was really convenient to buy some snacks and some stuff to take back to the U.S. Theres also a bakery shop called Robin Hood bakery and they have the best melon pan which we really enjoyed buying whenever we walk to the train station in the morning. Overall, they really paid attention to their guests. They greeted us whenever we come home to their house which i think was really sweet and thoughtful. Before we left we had dinner with them and got to know them more and i also got a souvineer from them as well. I would recommend anyone to stay at their place. And We'll sure be coming back again to Japan and book with them again.
Taka san is very kind and friendly. We really enjoyed to live in your house. It was very convenient that we just spent 5 minutes to go to 24 hours convenience store. We will stay at your house again when we come to Japan next time. We love your house and we also love Japan very much. Thank you very much! Excellent~
Taka's place was a really nice place to stay especially when you put the cost and location into context. It's a convenient location with a nearby 7/11 about 2 blocks away, and the Minami-Uruwa Station which is about a 15 minute walk away. This makes for about a half hour to 45 minute trip to get into central Tokyo for those that wonder where Saitama is in relationship to the city. This location is also close to a few points of interest for tourists such as Kawagoe (Little Edo) where their are older establishments from around the 19th century, Omiya which is a city to the north where there are great temples and shopping to do, and the AEON LakeTown Outlets which is one of the largest shopping centers in Japan for those that are interested. As for the location, the house is very clean and very prepared for guests. Our hosts, Yuko-san and Eiji-san were very nice and hospitable and helped us in every way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I really appreciated their invitations to dinner and their suggestion for places to go during that week that we stayed at this location. I highly suggest this location for guests that want to experience a traditional Japanese since the room that guests stay in is the tatami room. So for those that are unaware, you sleep on a futon on the tatami mat; there is no western-style bed so please be aware of that. The room was very nice and spacious for 2 people and can possibly fit a 3rd or 4th depending on how much baggage is brought along. There are few amenities that are provided which are nice to have such as the air conditioner, television, notepad, extra towels, washing machine, blow dryer, etc. Overall, our stay was a great experience and I hope that future guests will enjoy the experience as much as we have.
I loved my stay with Taka and Yuko. They are wonderful hosts and very generous people. Yuko came to get me from the train station; she called a taxi for me very early in the morning; and Taka invited us to a wonderful sushi dinner. It was lovely getting to know them. The room is excellent. The area is very close to the train station that goes to the man tourist attractions. Great time.
