Large, self-contained room with en suite wet room, in the historic, peaceful, Victorian north Oxford conservation area. Wifi, tea and coffee making facilities in room, 15 minutes walk into central Oxford, close to cafes, restaurants, shops in Summertown or Jericho. The Oxford University Parks and river are a ten minute stroll away in one direction and the large Port Meadow water meadow is 10 minutes in the other.
Central location, ideal for visitors to the university, 2 minutes walk to St Hugh's and St Anthony's, 15 into the centre of town, or there are buses running there every few minutes from the next road.
The room is set up to be self contained. Short term guest are welcome to use the fridge in the kitchen, however, if they want to keep milk/simple items in there. Longer term guests have access to the kitchen to use the fridge and for simple cooking and food preparation. The rest of the house is private, although obviously with access through it to the kitchen!
Interaction with guests
I try to give my guests privacy, but am very happy to chat if wanted, and make recommendations for local eateries, shops, directions, transport, recommended running routes (there are many around here), or anything else to do in Oxford or from Oxford.
Other things to note
I don't provide breakfasts, just the teas and coffees in the room, but there are 3 cafes providing breakfasts a 5 minute walk away in North Parade, or guests are welcome to keep breakfast items of their choice in the fridge or kitchen here.
I have a cat. He is very friendly and nice natured, and does not go into the guest room, but it is probably something I should mention in case any guests are severely allergic and would be effected by the fact that he is free in the rest of the house.
