Great location. Close to wineries and the national park. There are some great walks on the property itself. The house was clean and very welcoming. The hostess Kelly was very friendly and answered all our questions patiently. I didn't realise when booking that it was a bunch of houses rather than one on it's own but that's my fault for not checking the website properly. We'll be back for another trip soon no doubt!

Beautiful spot for a mountain getaway. The cabin was cozy and very comfortable, and surrounded by beautiful walking trails. It was peaceful and tranquil. We also enjoyed driving for only 7 minutes to reach Girraween national park. Great place! You

Kelly instantly becomes a family member, as we walked through reception she promptly made us a feel at home, we would probably still be chatting if we didn't had to leave. The cottages are really nice the only thing missing is a oven, but there's a stove, microwave and barbecue. You can really disconnect as there's no mobile service, TV, or Wifi but there's plenty of activities to do! Hiking the several tracks they've mapped in the property that is part of the national park, watching one of the hundreds DVDs available at reception, visit the region and follow Kelly's advise on food, wineries, shops, you name it. Highly recommended!!! Thanks Kelly, btw we loved Putty Road x

Thank you Kelly, what a wonderful relaxing, tranquil place to stay! By day 4 we had done all the walks on the property, plus Girraween National park is only 3 kms down the rd! Bald Rock National Park is about 60kms away, but not for the faint hearted! The plunge pools on the property were very welcome after the walks! The place was very clean, and the king size bed very comfy at the end of the day! Kelly and the staff were very friendly and accommadating. Take some mozzie stuff if you are prone to bites! Loved the fact there is no phone coverage or Internet. A beautiful spot to relax and enjoy nature! Thanks again!

Girrawean Environmental Lodge is just such an excellent place to stay. The property contains some 10 chalets, all very private, nestled into iconically Australian bushland. For mine, the chalet accommodation strikes an excellent balance - for whilst the chalets are extremely comfortable (including nice bedding and comfortable beds, a large bathroom, kitchen facilities, a wood fire and tv/dvd) they are not overly indulgent or opulent. There are many beautiful walks throughout this vast site, all well signposted and manageable, with rockpools, granite boulder outcrops, birds and a vast array of vegetation types. The staff are welcoming and very helpful, and not in any way nosey or overbearing. The quietude and general natural beauty of this place make for a very restorative and peaceful stay, and its proximity to Girrawean National Park, as well as the multitude of top class wineries and eateries, makes it a place well worth visiting regularly, rather than just once. Just top notch!
