The space
Everything you need for a peaceful, healthy retreat is here.

The legendary Luxton Lake / Ten Mile River region is the setting for Grandma Gail's Cottage. Ideal for two couples, a group of friends, or a small family, this charming house is located two miles from the artsy town of Narrowsburg, nestled along the Delaware River and chock-a-block with art galleries, antiques, ice cream & coffee shops, a supermarket, gas station, and several of the best restaurants in the region.

This cozy 2-bedroom cottage is furnished with one queen-size bed, one full-size bed, a new comfy couch, a claw foot bathtub (with shower), brand new gas cooking stove, microwave, wood floors, and a screened porch. It is stocked with everything you need to feel at home. Start your morning with coffee on the back deck, and wrap up the day with a cocktail on the screened porch.

You can choose from five different outdoor fire pits. One is in the backyard behind the cabin for when you want to be close to home. Another is nestled in the woods next to the cabin, you'll be walking in the woods to get to it. Three others are located along the banks of my private Ten Mile River waterfront land, a beautiful 5 minute walk from the cabin. Cut firewood is stacked near all fire pits. I recommend you bring fire starters, newspaper, and matches.

Looking for to accommodate more than 4 people, or want to schedule a multi-family a Covid safe getaway? My Cutest Little House in Narrowsburg Airbnb sleeps 4 and is right next door!

Located two hours from the George Washington Bridge. Close to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (15 miles), Callicoon (8 miles) and the Delaware River (2 miles).

Strict no pet policy. Please don't ask for an exception. If you want to bring your dog with you, I recommend the local dog boarding kennel Dog Mountain Lodge in Cochecton, NY.

After living in NYC for 10 years, I moved to the mountains where I could write, raise my family, and relish the quiet nights. I've built and renovated a few houses in Narrowsburg and am excited to offer my latest labors of love, The Cutest Little House in Narrowsburg and the Vintage Canned Ham to city dwellers looking for a respite.

During your stay

I live next door and am available as needed, but will not be intrusive during your stay.

Many of my guests have wanted to know about the history of the Luxton Lake, Narrowsburg area. I'm happy to give my guests a guided history/walking tour of the community and share the knowledge I've gathered as an amateur historian and documentarian of the area. We can tour the Ten Mile River, centuries-old stone walls, the Luxton Lake dam site and lakebed, and an 1860s home that I'm currently restoring right down the road. My short film "Lucky Lake" about the area can be viewed on YouTube.

When I lived in Grandma Gail's Cottage, it was featured in a short video profile on Etsy. The video can be found on YouTube with the title "1940s Retro Cottage Getaway | Before & After | Etsy" (1.5 million views, and counting!).
