We stayed almost a week at Axels house and we had a great stay (4 people and one baby). The house is spacious, nicely furnished and clean. The kitchen is very well equipped and there are several spots for having dinner. The pool was very clean and there is plenty of nice place to sunbath or sit in the sun. The beds were confortable and overall the place offers a great view into a valley with lovely sunset. the neighbourhood was calm and discrete. I would def. recommend...
Auribeau sur Siagne is a beautiful place, which is definitely worth a visit. You can also drive to Cannes, Nice, Monaco or St. Tropez very shortly. You could also hang around in the house, enjoy the sun at the pool and the great landscape. There are quite a lot of cats in the area that will go inside the house if you leave a door or window unattended for a second (literally). If you are allergic to cats you probably shouldn't go there. No big issues at all. Overall, this place is OK!
Great villa with amazing views of the Provençal hills. We enjoyed barbecues and eating alfresco and relaxing by the pool. Pool was a bit chilly but we got use to it. We were a family of 4 including 2 teenagers and all enjoyed our stay .wifi worked well so no problems getting internet ect. The Tv has lots of channels in French and Netflix can be watched in English if you want to chill out . We found it a good base and visited Cannes 20min , St tropes 1 hour 30 min .Monaco 1 hour 15 min and nice 35 min . We walked to the nearest town which was a small provincial village with great views and nice restaurant and pizza parlour. There is another restaurant within walking distance but more within a short drive. Supermarket and bakery were a short drive and great for fresh croissants and bread for breakfast. The neighbours look after the villa and pool and are very friendly , they speak very little English and we speak very little French but it was fun trying to communicate and we managed to understand each other. The villa has automatic gates at the entrance and we felt very secure and safe while there. The outside area was large and secluded and we loved the quiet and beautiful views. The beds were comfy and bedrooms had fans. The kitchen was fully kitted out if you wanted to cook with lots of spices and herbs to use and the basics were already there. we would recommended if you want a relaxing French experience away from the busy resorts but close enough to visit. We hope to return and improve our French. Axel was a great host and contacted us before by email and phoned during our stay to check all was ok .We felt at home.
The villa was excellent for our family (8 people) and we all slept comfortably. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked every night. Although there is no AC, we didn't need it at all since there was a nice cool breeze coming in through the windows in the evening and the home is cool during the day. The town of Pegomas is nearby (5 minute drive) and has a great bakery (fresh croissants and pain-au-chocolat for breakfast each morning) fresh produce market, and grocery store. The home is just as stunning as shown in the pictures, with a great view of the valley and beautiful sunsets. We spent the days lounging by the pool, reading and eating. The neighbourhood is quiet, and Axel was an excellent host who was available if we needed anything. Wifi also worked exceptionally well and there is also a landline! We were travelling with a 16 month old and the property manager gave us a crib, which we really appreciated. Would absolutely stay at Villa Franca again! Thank you Axel!
The booking process and communication with Axel was super easy. He quickly responded to any questions we had. He also checked in with us once we had arrived to make sure everything was OK. We absolutely loved the house ! It is a beautiful and comfortable property in a great location, with amazing views, and it is immaculately kept up. The outdoor space is simply stunning. Axel's neighbors were very attentive and friendly, but we had absolutely no issues with anything. The location of the house is perfect because you can easily reach Cannes, Grasse, Nice, the beaches etc. Also, Auribeau itself is worth a visit. A supermarket, bakery, farmer's market are just a short drive away. If you are looking for a quintessential Southern French experience, this house is for you. We loved staying there.
We very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful villa. We were lucky to be welcomed by Axel who gave us a detailed tour of the villa and as well as an into to the area. The view from the villa is awesome and the outdoor area is great. Make sure you plan to spend some time at the villa and enjoy the pool, view, fruits. The neighbors who take care of maintenance were very attentive and friendly though we did not experience any issues. The house is located not far from the main highway which takes to Nice, Cannes, etc. The beach is about 20min drive but you would probably try to explore various beaches. There are two supermarkets, a few bakeries and a farmers market in the area. Make sure you visit Mougins which has great restaurants and art galleries. I highly recommend this villa.
Axel was a very good host. He made good contact with us during the entire booking process and always provided timely responses to questions and communication. Prior to our departure Axel called me to ensure everything was ok and in place for our trip, which was a very nice touch. The actual villa and location were perfect for our 4 night stay in August 15. The pictures in the listing are very true to the actual villa. We were a group of 6 adults, 2 kids and 1 baby and the villa had pretty much all the amenities required to make our stay perfect, so very little additional items required such as cleaning products from the local supermarket and which was only a 10 min drive away. Perhaps a baby high chair could also be added to the equipment list as feeding times did become a little tricky. The pool, although the water a little on the cooler side, was great for the kids and the adults to relax by with wonderful views of the Provençal hills in the background and al fresco dining. A truly idyllic location and setting. Fairly handy for Cannes and also exploring the other regions of the Cote D'Azur. We used it as a base for day trips to Monaco (1hr 30mins) and Cannes (35mins) but could easily have gone to St Tropez too. The local medieval village was also a treat to explore if you did not want to venture too far. The local management hosts were also very responsive to issues even though their English and our French was limited. One day the hot water stopped working as the power in the villa had tripped. Although we turned the electricity back on, there was an additional button for the hot water but the management sorted things quickly via a phone call. All in all, I would definitely stay here again and would recommend the villa to anyone be they families, couples, singles, groups with kids or groups without kids.
