The space
Calling all lovers of nature, welcome to House Bohinj - sittings in the skirts of the mountain, close to Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj.
It’s hard to find such a rare gem nowadays. Built-in 1921, the cottage carries the spirit of old times and stories yet to be told. Though completely restored and redecorated in 2020, it still preserves its authentic charm.
This secluded retreat offers peace and tranquillity amidst amazing nature all year round. Nestled amidst phenomenal slopes and picturesque sceneries it is a perfect winter getaway for mountain lovers and heaven on earth for skiers.
Time stands still here so you can relax in peace and harmony and just enjoy the moment.
Marvel at the snow-capped peaks in winter or put on your hiking shoes and conquer them in the summer. Chop up some firewood and watch the snowflakes falling down or fire up the grill and gather everyone for a tasty meal on a cool summer night.
Extensive private grounds and vast living space create a peaceful enclave perfect for up to seven friends or an extended family. Set up to bring peace in the heart and joy to the eye, this authentic mountain hut charms with a simplistic and traditional layout. Finished in a typical solid-wood design and with rustic decor, House Bohinj is more than meets the eye. It promises unforgettable moments and unbeatable views to help you unwind from your everyday.
Cook your own meals in the well-equipped indoor kitchen or fire up the grill in the garden, enjoy a candlelit dinner under the stars and listen to the sounds of nature. During the day, the area offers you exciting adventures so you will never feel bored. The Triglav National Park is a place where you can explore, learn, relax and experience pristine nature and make lasting memories. At the end of the day retreat to this oasis of comfort and tranquillity.
The living room combines a dining area and lounge area with sofa bed. Climb upstairs to the attic room equipped with 3 comfy queen beds adorned with crisp linens and pillows. Before heading to bed pass by the sparkling bathroom with shower and toilet to refresh body and soul. Fall asleep in the blink of an eye, breathing the fresh mountain air. Bohinjska Bistrica, Radovljica, Slovenia

Explore quaint Bohinjska Bistrica: its water park, lake views, spas, and more!
Check out Lake Bohinj and Lake Bled—just two of the top sights around Bohinjska Bistrica, a city also known for its restaurants. Savica Waterfall is just 7km away and you enjoy a nice walk to reach it.

Explore a quaint island church, climb to the heights of a medieval clifftop castle and enjoy views of this scenic lake.
Lake Bled is a large body of water surrounded by forested hills and picturesque mountains. In its centre stands a scenic island full of green plants and a charming church. Hike the perimeter of the lake through its varied foliage to encounter a medieval castle and many excellent viewpoints.
Atop a steep cliff on the northern shore of the lake is Bled Castle. Visit its museum to learn about the history of Bled. See the Romanesque tower that dates back to the 11th century. Climb to the top of the castle for excellent views of Lake Bled and its island church.
To reach the island, ride the pletna boat, a gondola-like vessel native to Bled with a roof and just one rower. The pletna picks up passengers from the park in Mlino on the lake’s southern shore. Spend some time on the island exploring the 17th-century church. Admire the remaining parts of frescoes that depict the Virgin Mary’s life. Visit the bell tower to see the complex clock mechanism and have a good view of the lake.
Green, mossy mountains are reflected in the pristine water of Lake Bohinj. Slovenia’s largest lake is known for its fantastic mountain peaks that dominate the vista in every direction. Appreciate the tranquillity and enjoy the fresh alpine air in this serene setting.
Embark on a stroll along the perimeter of the lake with spectacular views of the water. Meander through the trees and stop for a picnic with the sounds of wildlife calls. The entire circuit around the lake is 7 miles (12 kilometres) and should take 4 or 5 hours to complete. Encounter the statue of the legendary Goldhorn chamois, which is a buck from Slovenian tales about treasure and love.
Swim in the clean water at shallow beach areas on the western and eastern pockets of Lake Bohinj. Fishing is popular here in summer for the trout, char and molluscs native to this lake. Rent a bike to follow one of the 15 cycling paths around the park. In winter, people often walk across the frozen lake.
