This apartment is in a Georgian garden building near central London. Awarded a star by the Plum Guide, you get five star luxury in complete tranquillity. A king (150cm)size bed with bathroom and eat in kitchen. The rooms overlook a pond complete with fountain, sculpture and wooded views. Wifi is fibreoptic. The outside eating area and garden seating make this a truly relaxing base for a visit to London. We are on a DIRECT LINE FROM HEATHROW AIRPORT, so really convenient, and close to the tube.
This space is effectively a self contained studio garden apartment. I have an art studio attached to it, and occasionally I or my daughter or son use it during working hours. However the flat is self contained and we will always respect guests privacy.
Here's a recent review:
"I was so charmed by this place, you’d never expect this lovely little haven to be hidden away so close to Caledonian Road. It’s like opening the door from the city to a little slice of the countryside! There’s such a sense of peace the second you enter the garden with its enchanting wisteria, colourful plants & tranquil little pond. It’s that calming space you can return to after a long day and switch off completely, spend your mornings in the garden & relaxing evenings in the cosy bedroom. The studio feels spacious for it’s size & you really have everything you need for any length of stay. Andy & his daughter’s artist studio is right next door so there’s this creative air about the place & you can admire his paintings throughout the home as well as his antique furniture collection, the ‘cabinet of curiosities’ in the charming farmhouse kitchen and the bathroom with lemon trees & geraniums up by the skylight that give it a greenhouse feel. It’s a truly special find!"
There are washing and drying machines available and access is directly into the bedroom through French doors. You may arrive at any time as there is a key safe near the property.
Interaction with guests
I am available at the guest's request, and my twin children help run the property. In the garden flat of the main house that shares the door to the street lives a blues musician and his family. My daughter is often in the studio which shares the same building, but has separate access.
Other things to note
The main house has a garden flat that has its own private patio, but you are likely to meet the very friendly dog. The entrance through the garden wall is shared with the garden flat of the main house.
If using the garden, outside noise must stop after 11pm until 9am.
Smoking is fine in the garden.
