Thank you for your interest in our Elk Horn Cabin Retreat! Ours is a small rustic cabin located in a community of eclectic mountain homes. Newly remodeled using 100 year old cedar. Large windows bring in the sun and give an amazing view of the outdoors! A unique, raw cut staircase leads up to the bedroom loft. Enjoy lounging on both the front and back decks. Roast marshmallows, relax, and sing by the fire pit. Make Elk Horn your home away from home while exploring.

The space
Our cabin is just 4 miles from the Nisqually entrance to Mount Rainier National Park. This quaint retreat offers an open concept kitchen and living areas. It sleeps two very comfortably. If you are traveling in a larger group, there are other getaways available here in Paradise Estates.

Guest access
The entire getaway is yours to use!

Other things to note
~Please take a look at the guest book for more information to help you enjoy your stay.
~This is rural living at it's best and as a result there can be power outages and inclement weather. We do not refund for early departures.

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING?
~Groceries – we do have two small stores in Ashford, but they have a limited selection of goods. There is a grill on the fire pit for you to use. Also bring whatever adult beverages you enjoy-- only beer and wine are available in Ashford.
~Gasoline – again, fill up before you get here. Hours can be limited at the gas station in Ashford.
~Specialty kitchen gadgets – Please bring any specialty kitchen items you can't live without. The kitchen is fully stocked with the BASICS, plus a few baking items, knives, cheese grater, etc.
~Personal toiletries – soap and shampoo are provided

~Whittaker's Mountaineering Shop is close by in case you forget something.

Thank you for your interest in the Elk Horn cabin! I look forward to sharing it with you! I have been hiking Mount Rainier for 15 years! It is my greatest passion...There is nothing like hiking in the Pacific Northwest! I live in Steilacoom and make the trek here at least once a week. I am fortunate to have a friend in Ashford who helps me maintain Elk Horn. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions or concerns!
