Our downstairs bedroom with south-facing windows receives lovely filtered light. Nice residential neighborhood, easy walk to anywhere on IU campus -- 2-min walk to the Music School. Comfortable double bed with organic cotton sheets.
We LOVE musician guests, and other young (or old!) visiting-scholar type guests. Please note that our home is older, modest and bohemian. If you are fussy & over-privileged, and everything must be updated/upscale, please do us both a favor and stay elsewhere.
The space
Visiting musicians are welcome to practice here!
Guest access
kitchen, living room, bath, porch
Other things to note
Please note: if you are coming to IU for Music School auditions or summer workshops, you will want to book far in advance, as our prime location is much in demand!

I am a retired law professor, animal lover, and organic gardener. Have come to love hosting and meeting new friends! I am managing my mother's lovely home in Carrollton since she has moved to an independent living community. She is delighted to have her home preserved, as she spent her life making it the charming place it is. We gather as a family in the home for the holidays, usually including my two wonderful grown-up children. My house in Bloomington has been my home intermittently since graduate school. I now live in the country, but we love the house too much to ever part with it! I attended Carrollton High School (where I was valedictorian), Sophia University in Tokyo, Duke University, and Indiana University, where I eventually taught in the Law School for 17 years. My legal career has taken me to the U.S. Supreme Court eight times, which has been very exciting! I continue to practice law on a selective basis, but I am happiest in my gardens!
